I ran miles and miles until I arrived at the British base. My heart beating with anguish, fear, but courage all at the same time as I took it step by step. Crawling and avoiding any enemy infantry. Then I came across a lone soldier just standing, doing guard duty, as I sneak up behind him and knock him out, taking his radio just in case anyone tried to contact him and any suspicions can be avoided. I took his uniform and switched it out with mine, dragging his body and throwing it over a ledge, where his deceased corpse sank under the water; never to be seen again. May god be with him if he has committed any sort of treason that's unforgivable.

I prayed for the soldier I had just eliminated, and made my way to the building across from me. Climbing the ladder, taking it step by step as I made it to the roof, slowly opening the hatch so I dont alert any nearby guards. There were 3 people below me and I waited till they left so I can enter and just act casually. They walked out gracefully as I held my gun like them, and followed behind. I made it to the controll room and waited for them to clear out so I could hack into the cells and download a map to find my way. I did that as swift and quick as possible. The map finally downloaded onto my mainframe as I took a few turns and straight paths, I had finally made it to where the prisoners were being held captive.

Page 168:

I told them quietly what the plan was:

"Hey, I'm getting you guys out of here, please stay quiet and procceed to follow my orders, I'm a soldier from the marine base camp in Okinawa, I need you guys to listen carefully."

After 10 minutes of talking they understood what they had to do. I crossed my heart that I would get them out of there alive, even if it cost me my own life. I hacked into the security mainframe and their cell slid open after I shut down the contents, they came out and I shut them back on so that time can be bought. I gave them uniforms, weapons,a shield and fake IDs so they can get out alive, as I led them out, our time was held short when the alarm was set off by a British soldier who looked through the cameras and saw what I had done.

"SHIT!!"

Prisoner 1: "WHAT DO WE DO CAPTAIN RUBY!?"

"We will make it out, I promise you guys!!"

I shot a few guys coming at us and led the prisoners forward. I kept them behind me and told them to stay hidden until they can move up. I signaled them and we were halfway through. The exit was just a few feet away, I had a get away vehicle set up for them so we can get out of here as quick as possible. No one would have suspicions because it was an enemy getaway car. As we ran forward to the exit, I got shot on my lung and fell backwards.

"RUBY!!"

Prisoner 2 yelled with fear and terror in her voice.

"GET OUT OF HERE, NOW!!"

"B-but..we cant just leave you here, Ruby!!"

Prisoner 3 yelled but I could barely listen as I forced myself up and handed them a letter, and told them all to get the hell out of here.

Page 170:

"Guys, you need to get out of here, we dont have much time, go now!! I'll hold them off as long as I can, but you guys need to leave now!! The getaway vehicle is there, here is a map of the location you need to go too. Please go, and dont turn back!!"

Tears rolling down the prisoners faces as they departed from me:

"Its time to finish this, to live..or to die...FOR HONOR!!"

As I picked up my gun I started shooting all the soldiers coming at me... screaming glory and victory..

Prisoner 3 watched as Ruby held them off, as prisoner 1 started the engine and prisoner 2 pulled down his skii mask used by the British, and setting up the fake ID's to show at the entrance. It was all ok, until prisoner 3 witnessed Ruby getting shot, as she fell backwards and took one last look at the prisoners with a tear rolling down her eye, and as she crossed her heart she got shot again, and closed her eyes, dead.

Page 171:
Prisoner 3 fell back and rolled into a ball crying, as he pulled down his skii mask so the tears wouldn't show. She risked her life for them, and paid the price, as they drove off and made it out of the base, the fake identities worked. The prisoners were all filled with countless emotions. But they learned that day, that with honor, comes great responsibility and sacrifice. In this world you dont live for yourself, from one dark soul to another you live for others. That alone is the painful, cold hard truth we experience on a daily basis.

Page 172:

The prisoners made it safely to the location after a week and delivered the news of Ruby's death. The only person that didn't know of her where abouts, was Greg who was still sitting in the hospital bed, including her friends and family. Unfortunately the request of her death message to not be delivered was unapproved, because families and friends have to know of a loved ones death, instead of filling with the anxiety wondering where they're at. Once this news has been heard, a soldier volunteered to deliver these news to those who were close to her.

Page 173:

Greg heard echoing voices, his vision went back to normal and he was alive...Ruby was right..but the question is, where is she? Where has she gone? Suddenly, a man came into the room, and handed Greg a letter and told him the news.

"Officer Greg?"

"Yes?"

"I regret to inform you...that Ruby has died in combat, she has successfully rescued the prisoners, but she has died with a gunshot gone through her heart and head. We apologize for this inconvenience, Officer Greg."

"No...NO, I DONT BELIEVE YOU!"

I started to freak out, wishing that what this man said was a false accusation and that she may still be alive somewhere.

Page 174 :

The nurses came in and held me down, I was freaking out, afraid of life at this point.

"I COMMAND YOU TO LET ME GO!"

I yelled in a panicking manner, screaming and begging for my life.

I got sedated and started to mumble:

"Ruby's not...dead.."

Before my vision went fully black and I was passed out. As I woke up a few hours later, a nurse came in and asked if I was calm. I nodded and saw the letter I was handed by the man who delivered the news of Ruby's death to me. I unsealed the envelope, and took out a piece of paper, and a beautiful devil dog badge sitting inside, the letter read:

"Dear Greg, till death do us part have I gotta be the one to say it myself. I knew what was coming, and I knew that I wasnt gonna last long in this world, so before I die, I decided to write this beautiful letter for you, as a memory of me. We had a great run my dear, a sweet and sour path, I know I wasnt the easiest person to get along with, but I just want you to know you were scored on my heart from day one. Dont ever forget me my dearest, we had a good bond, but it was very distant. However, we travelled that distance and got closer in the end, but I guess I lost myself in the process and paid the price of death with honor and dignity. Thank you for being mine and showing me what it's like to feel loved by a man for the first time, you will always be my first thought every day that I'm in heaven. Thank you for travelling The Distance with me. Please take my devil dog badge as a memory of me. You have the freedom to call me by my original name, Mical now. Proving you are closer to me in every possible way.
Sincerely, truly yours
Ruby"
