"let's go for a ride." his fingers were tangled up in my hair as my head rested comfortably on his lap.
he ended up spending the rest of the day with me, i didn't want him to leave but i didn't understand why he wanted to stay. "where to?" i asked softly. "do we have to have a destination, princess?" he smirked, making my stomach do flips. "valid. let's go."
"ew, i look gross." i put my hand up as matt tried to take a picture of me riding shotgun in his car.
"stop, matt." i whined still hiding my face from the camera. "oh come on, princess. i want to show you off."
he pulled over on a highway right outside of la, we made our way out of the comfort of the range rover and over to the edge. the only thing seperating me from the sea of lights a few hundred feet below was a small wooden fence.
"the view is so gorgeous from up here." i looked down at the city lights, twinkling below us, immediatly feeling a sense of peace. matt wrapped his arms around my waist and i leaned into him. "hmm.. not as gorgeous as you." he mumbled in my ear. i just rolled my eyes and continued staring at the lights.
"why don't you think you're beautiful?" he asked after a long moment of silence between us.
"because i'm not." i shrugged "some people look at me and see beauty, i guess, or i wouldn't be a model. i look at myself and i see everything that needs to be changed or everything that requires more work."
matt turned me so we were facing each other and then he leaned in and placed a small kiss on my lips. "what the fuck, matt?" my voice was barely a whisper.
"i think you're the most beautiful woman i've ever met." i felt my cheeks go red and my stomach turned as he spoke those words.

i woke up to an empty bed, matt had spent the night after we got home from our little drive. i wasn't upset, just concerned.
i wasn't sure what he even wanted with me. i glanced at my phone to a million notifications. the fan accounts were catching onto us, it didn't help that matt was posting pictures of me on his socials.

i liked a few of the comments on his picture and continued on with my morning. i posted a new vlog on my youtube channel and then grabbed myself an apple for breakfast before i decided to lock myself away in my office.
"well, i was thinking about re-branding."
i had been on the phone with my manager for over an hour now and the conversation wasn't really going anywhere.
"i just don't think it's a good idea, you have a very large fanbase that may not react well to change."
"i think that's a risk i need to take. i'm grown up now, i'm not a child anymore. i can't keep pretending for the press." i sighed
"is this because of your new friend?" he asked.
"that's not really any of your business, but no. it has nothing to do with matthew. i've been trying to evolve my art style for months but you won't let me be an artist." i huffed.
"you've done a lot of things that i shouldn't have agreed with. maybe you should quit while you're ahead." "you know you're not going to be able to control me forever, paul." i snapped, hanging up the phone.
