Jjba x Reader (Diamond is Unbreakable)

Prologue?

The battle was intense, many lives where lost and now it was only up to you to defeat the final boss. Very injured and low on materials you had to move carefully but quickly, there was no rooms for mistakes. Not after everything thats happened.

"I can't screw up here, not now..." You whispered to yourself as nervous sweat had begun to form. Gripping the controller tighter you sat even closer to the screen as you took a deep breathe and begun the fight of the century. No one has made it this far, at least to your knowledge.

One life, thats all you had. If you die its game over.

On your left sat your closest childhood friend you've had since pre-school, Higashikata Josuke. Currently he was hugging a pillow as he silently yet nervously watched you play. He had ran out of lives on the last level, leaving you too defeat the boss all by your self while on the verge of death. He silently cheered you on in his head, knowing that if a single sound was made your concentration would break. That and it was 3 in the morning and if his mom found out you both would be dead.

Like you said. There was no room for mistakes, one hit and you're dead.

As the fight started you made your character instantly run to the side to dodge any on coming attack, which was good. If you hadn't you definetly would have died.

So its one of those bosses huh? You thought to yourself as you went in for an attack.

Attack, dodge, dodge, attack, dodge, attack, attack, dodge, etc.

A simple pattern that was quite effective, the boss only needed a few more hits! Its health bar was practically gone!

Im going to beat the boss!!

Though because of how concentrated you where, you didn't realize that the living room lights had been flipped on or that Tomoko had woken up and entered the room.

Sadly neither had Josuke, he was too busy hugging the pillow to death in anticipation as his eyes where glued to the screen. His heart felt like it was going to explode as he waited for the text 'victory!' to flash on the screen.

As you got the final hit in and the boss did its little animation of falling to the ground you couldn't help but smile so wide you swore your face was gonna stretch apart. Josuke on the other hand was about to let out a yell of victory that is until the screen went blank.

The tv had gotten unplugged.

All that data most definitely did not save.

"Wha..nonono..we just spent all night on this!!" You yelled facing the one who murdered your hopes and dreams. Smile gone, it was replaced with a look full of rage but it quickly went away as you saw who did it.

"Shit" Josuke muttered.

"Higashikata Josuke, L/n Y/n...do you realize what time it is?" She said in a calm voice and you could see Josuke visibly flinch from the corner of your eye.

"umm..10 pm maybe?" You said with a nervous chuckle

"Wrong. Josuke?" She said dropping the cable

As Josuke turned his head to read the clock, he let out a sigh as he moved his hair out of his face while muttering a quick, 'i should have let it stayed up' before facing his mom. "3?"

"THREE IN THE MORNING, CORRECT! Why is that when I wake up to get some water, I see you two idiots playing video games in the dark huh?! Y/n, you know I love you like one of my own but this seriously ticks me off" she said giving you a not so friendly pat on the head
