The time was flying and Niyal would be here within 15 minutes. I had prepared his favorite dish today. He will be so happy. I was in a hurry to prepare everything when I heard the doorbell ringing. I went and opened the door, only to be met by no one!

I took another step outside the house to check out who was knocking but I couldn't see anybody. I turned back towards the house and when I try to close it, he entered shouting "Maya." I was shocked. He didn’t let me process what was going on and within a second, he was carrying me in a bridal way.

"Niyal!! What is this?!” I asked but at the same time, I felt happy!

He took me to our bedroom.

“Niyal just leave me! Swetha will be here any moment.”

"No worries. Until she comes, I have time with you," he replied.

He kissed me with lust. After a long breathtaking kiss, I was breathing out "Niyal ar....are you going to hunt me? I can’t be your prey."

"I missed you so much Maya, truly. I can't live without you."

I felt the same. I had missed him so much; his scent, his voice, his kiss and his touch. He was never away this long. I hugged him tightly and started to cry.

"Maya, what’s wrong?

"I am afraid I may lose you, Niyal."

"What are you talking about? I will never let you go in any moment," he promised.

In her mind she thought, this was what he told Swetha too, then what happened? She is not with him now!

"Maya relax! Is there something bothering you? I've noticed that you are not okay."

"No, Niyal. I am okay. I just have a migraine. Change your clothes now. Swetha will be here soon," replied Maya.

Once Swetha came, they ate and all of them enjoyed the meal. Niyal then gave them the gifts which he had bought from New York and they were so happy.

"Niyal, I am going to the office. Take care. The food is in the fridge, heat it in the microwave and eat it."

Today, Maya had an extra work day but it was a holiday for Niyal. When Swetha came home from her tuition class, Niyal talked to her about her studies.

"Swetha, was your mom okay when I left for New York?" he asked.

"Oh My God, dad. Don't question me. She was not well at all. She was always thinking about something. Once I asked her what’s wrong but she said she was fine. You know dad, she even has doubts about your love."

"What are you saying, Swetha?"

"Yes dad! She asked me ‘do you think your dad loves me?’ I don’t know what happened to her, dad. Anyway, I am going to play videogames will you join me?”

"Okay." He spent his time with Swetha. But his mind was somewhere else. He was thinking about what she had said about Maya.

Why did Maya think that I don’t love her? he kept thinking.

"Niyal," Maya kept calling him for a long time. He gasped when she tapped on his shoulder.

"Hey, what happened to you?"

"Nothing, I was just thinking about my upcoming project."

"Don't make my house an office."

"Okay, okay don't worry!" he replied.
