Chapter 7-Aiden Goes on a Date

-Kody's Pov-

My dad and Sherry have been getting closer...and in a way I don't particularly like.

"Dad! I'm going out with a few friends, I'll be back by dinner!" I shouted. "Take Lumine with you!" He yelled back. Lumine walked out from the kitchen and looked at me. "It's fine I don't-" Lumine started. "Aw nope you're comin with us, come on it'll be fun." Calla suggested.

"I don't want to impose on your plans." He said. "It's alright, you're not imposing. Please?" She pulled out her big puppy dog eyes.

"Ok fine, just give my 5 minutes to change." He went up stairs to change and after he did They left. Lumine had put on sweatpants, a hoodie and some runners. Kody's heart was thumping out of his chest, 2 words; gay, panic. Thank you.

-Aiden's pov-

'Yes! Silver is out doing errands until 5 tonight and the kids are out till later.' I thought. 'We finally have the house to ourselves!'

"Aiden you wanted to see...me..." Sherry's mind wandered, Aiden was wearing his usual tux but he had a few more buttons undone. "Oh right Sherry, can you file these papers and schedule my appointments for next week?" I ask.

"Um yeah sure, right away sir." She then leaves the room. I smile and get things ready for tonight.

2:37 PM

"Sherry would you come here and help me with something?" I ask, I then hear footsteps coming towards my direction, as she walked in the kitchen her eyes lit up. "Wow...this is incredible." She spoke in a softer tone.

"If you wanna go freshen up I can wait." I give her a big smile. She smiles back and tells me to wait and that she'll be back shortly. I wait 15 minutes, that was enough time to perfect everything. Sherry then enters the room wearing a red baby doll dress, her hair was put up into a messy bun, a bracelet around her wrist, a necklace around her neck and black sparkling shoes.

"Wow, you look breathtakingly beautiful." I blurt out, I then cover my mouth. She just giggles and walks over to hug me, I hug her back. I walk her over and we both sit down.

We start out on opposite sides of the table. "Nope can't do this, you're too far away Aiden." Sherry announced. She moved over right beside me. "There better." She gave me a smile. We then start eating and drinking.

"Haha oh really? You're funny." Sherry drunkenly exclaimed. "It's true, it sounds crazy but I really was put in a Mexican jail cell. It was scary and I thought that I was going to die." I said. "It sure sounds scary but for a strong man like yourself it should've been a problem." She takes another sip of her white wine.

"So why don't you tell me a little more about yourself, I mean I've know you for what like 4 years but I barely know anything about you." I said trying my best not to slur my speech. "Well if you must know, before I came here working for you I lived with my family on our farm.

We raised everything from chickens to cows to hell even rabbits but it all went down 1 faithful night. I was 8 at the time of the event, this dark grey truck with black writing on the side took me and my siblings away from our parents.

They later told us they had to take care of our parents, I did have an older brother and an older sister who tried telling each one of us that it'll be ok but I knew. For the next 10 years (?) I lived in constant fear of getting picked to die cause I wasn't good enough....

4 years later I met you, I wasn't too sure about you at first but I honestly grew to like you a lot. Once again I would like to apologize about shooting at you, I really didn't mean to hit you. Thank god I didn't.

I never thought that I would make it this far in life, I'm extremely grateful for everything you've done for me. Thank you Aiden." Sherry spoke, it made me sad so I almost started crying in from of her. I'm a weepy drunk.

"That's so sad, I'm so sorry you had to go through that. I'm glad that I could help you and Silver."

He moved his hand on top of hers, he then looked longingly into her eyes. "So what do you wanna do now?" She got up and put the finished plates of food in the dishwasher. He hugged her from behind and she giggled again. "How about we take this to the bedroom?" "Again?? I just blurted something out without thinking."

She turns around and simply says; "would love to." I pick her up and we head to my bedroom, I close the door with my foot and place her on the bed. I get on top of her and ask for her permission to kiss her. She nods in agreement and we start making out on the bed, she rolls me over and now she has the upper ground.

Things gets heated and we end up doing it, after we finish Sherry gets up to have a shower. "Will you come join me?" Sherry asked. "I'll be right there I'm just going to go clean up downstairs real quick." I said before popping my head back into the hallway.

I faintly hear her. "Alright just don't be too long~" I quickly clean up everything that I had set out and race upstairs. She was still in the shower, I join her. After the shower we dry off and put some clean clothes on. I lay down with my head propped against a pillow Sherry soon follows but she laid her head on my shoulder.

I torn on the TV and we eventually fall asleep together.

-Kody's pov-

So today didn't go as I planned, Calla broke her arm defending us from bullies. Elijah was pushed off a low bridge and got a concussion and a gash down his leg. Lumine got stung by a bee which resulted in an allergic reaction, we had to go to the hospital. Then there was me, I was beaten and bruised from the older kids.

Wasn't the best day to go out but at least we didn't die. When Lumine and I got home we noticed a perfume, flower like smell resinating in the kitchen. I had to help Lumine walk since he was too dizzy and weak to. I mean I wasn't opposed to it. Getting back to the matter at hand, the smell.

"Idth hurthing my noss Kobdy."
(It's hurting my nose Kody) Lumine tried to speak but he was too stuffed up from all the sneezing. "Yeah sorry let's get you up to your room."

I helped Lumine to his bed where as soon as I let go he plopped onto his bed. My 14 year old brain was running wild when I seen Lumine like that. "Um so Lumine g'night then." I left before o could hear his response.
