Sorry for the cliche beginning :/. Give it a chance though?
Chapter One
"Arrgh! Turn off!" I yelled at my alarm clock before ripping the plug out of the wall. Simple to say I'm not a morning person. I sleepily opened my eyes a few millimeters into the blinding sun. I slowly pulled myself out of the bed and rubbed my eyes. I threw a glance at my watch then took a second look when I saw it was only 20 minutes until I should be at my new school. Within the next ten minutes I was in a pair of skinny jeans and a loose white singlet applying a coat of mascara with one hand and curling my hair with the other. My phone started ringing loudly and I jumped almost dropping the curler on me.
I hit answer with my toe and put it onto speaker.
"Mered-"
"No. We are not friends only my friends call me that. You aren't my friend. "
"Star then," The person on the phone started again using my alias. "I'm presuming that you're all ready to go to school for your new job?"
"Of course I'm just about to leave." No of course I'm not doing my makeup with one hand, my hair with the other and using my feet to answer my phone. I didn't say that though my boss isn't really one for jokes.
"Give me a run down on the job then." She challenged.
"Dylan Thomas. Son of a multimillionaire. Go to his school. Become friends. Gather data on house. Steal all his money. Same old, same old." I recited like I was reading it from a book as I put my mascara down and grabbed some foundation to cover my tattoo. I swiped it over the small star beneath my eye and instantly felt the need to wipe it off. I picked up the contact case as my boss started to speak again.
"Well I know there is no point telling you the rules because you won't listen and you are probably in your car waiting for me to hang up so you can leave." She gave a fake laugh.
"Yeah." I said without a trace of emotion as I slid in a green contact lens.
"Okay." Without another word she hung up leaving me to put in my other contact lens.
I grabbed my black handbag and swung it over my shoulder, grabbed my keys and a pair of reading glasses with a simple black edge and a bit on the big side.
I slipped them on even though I had perfect vision and the glasses did nothing to magnify anything.
Five minutes later I had parked my car outside the gates of my new school. I got out of my car and passed the giant sign which announced the land I was standing on was home to Amestone High School. I slowly went through the groups of people while trying not to draw any attention to myself. Finally I made to the office and pushed the door open and stepped inside walking to the kind elderly looking lady.
Until the mean elderly looking lady stepped in front of her.
"What do you want?"
"Uh I'm new here. My name is Alyssa?" Everyone lies at least once a day. I had already told two and it wasn't even past nine o'clock. The day was still young.
She glared at me and motioned for me to follow her to a window while she went to grab my timetable and other stuff I would need.
"A student should be coming soon to show you around, Dylan I believe." I nodded even though I already knew he would be the student coming, after all I was the one who arranged it.
As she finished her sentence as a girl rushed in panting as if she had ran here yet she still had that effortless beauty look with her dark brown hair and wide blue eyes.'
