Just my luck

it's been a week since I started my
Summer job and today just isn't my day. I don't really believe in bad omens and what not, but I'm starting to have second thoughts.

This morning I was almost late for work, I went to eat breakfast and when I finished I went back upstairs to go get dressed, on my way up I scraped my knee and I'm not usually clumsy so that's a first for me. The kids in my class talked about something before summer break they said "if you wake up on the right side of your bed you'll have a good day, but if you wake up on your left side of the bed, brace yourself for a bad day, or something like that.
My mom has a daily routine and if she forgets to sweep the floor and mop it she says she gets a bad cold, or she'll hear bad news. Her Dailey routine is wake up before the sun, cooks breakfast, clean the kitchen, do the dishes after everyone is done eating, do the laundry and hang them up, go back in the house sweep the floor, cook lunch, mop the floor, do the dishes again, and then take a 30 minute nap, bring in the laundry and fold them, dust up and clean the walls, read a book, make dinner, do the dishes again (she does the dishes at least 3 times a day so they don't have to pile up) and if she forgets one chore to do, we'll be hearing her cry and say something is going to happen. Talk about I've dramatic, but that's mom for me.

Dad on the other hand seems like he has it easy, but he works hard and fast. He wakes up, feed the chickens, bring in the eggs (since mom thinks the chickens are little meat eating monsters) but dad doesn't complain about it. Fix anything he finds broken, example. Our old car, the clock, and anything lying around the house. Feed the cows - milk the cows, cut the woods, Eats when ever it's finished, and reads the daily news paper, and watches tv.

My daily schedule changes daily because I'm young and need the money to help support our family's needs and my needs, dad says having a good summer job instead of messing around like the other kids is better and a wise choice to do.
