chapter 2: tik tok

we walk upstairs and just as i opened the door to leave
"so you're not going to introduce us?" my mom says
"oh uh" i say looking at jaden
"this is jaden," i say
"and this is my mom, ella, amy, jack, jake and maya" i say and jaden raises his eyebrows
"yeah i know" i laugh. "come on" i say and we go. we go in jadens car and he drove, since he didn't want me knowing where we were going.
we pull up to an ihop parking lot. we go inside and sit down. we both order pancakes and i notice the waitress won't take her eyes off of jaden. but jaden doesn't seem to notice, he hardly looks at her. why? she's gorgeous.
i pushed the thought aside and we ate and talked. we went up to the till afterwords to pay and i pulled out my wallet and jaden grabbed it from my hands. i roll my eyes and smile and the waitress comes up to us. we pay and right as we start walking away the waitress taps jaden on the shoulder
"could i get your number" she winks
"i'm actually on a date, if you couldn't tell" jaden looks at me and smiles
"whatever" the waitress rolls her eyes and walks away
i couldn't help but smile. he chose me over her.

we went back to jadens house and i texted my mom saying where i was. i saw jaden scrolling through tik tok
"you have tik tok?" i say, trying to start a conversation
"yeah" he laughs
"how many followers?" i ask
"two mill" he shrugs
"wait actually?" i say
"yep" he laughs
"that's nuts" i say
"do you have it?" he asks
"no actually" i shrug
"you should download it. we could make a video" he says
i download it and make an account and the first thing i do is find jadens account. i follow him and start going through his videos. he's so cute. he notices me smiling at his videos
"you like em?" he laughs and i laugh too
"what's your account i'll follow you" he asks
"it's just zoe.raven" i say
"let's make a video" he says grabbing my phone and finding an audio on his account
we make a video and i post it with the caption "jaden made me do this" and then we made a video on his account.
he tagged me in it and i instantly started getting followers and likes. jaden also told me to follow a few of his friends; chase hudson, noen eubanks, payton moormeier, anthony reeves, and griffin johnson. i had already met chase and noen and they all followed me back.
one comment caught my eye.
"new part of the lights out tour?"
"what the lights out tour?" i ask
"it's a tour that me and a bunch of friends are doing next week" he says. after a second he jumps up
"you should come! i'll call my manager!" he says and walks into the other room to call. after about ten minutes jaden comes into the room with a huge smile on his face.
"no way!!" i shout
"yep!!" we hug, both super exited and not even realizing.
"we need to talk to my mom!" i say and we both run to the car and go to my house.
jaden explains the tour and where we're going to my mom. after almost an hour of convincing her, she said yes.
"we need to go get clothes" jaden says
"yes." i say.
"take your sister." my mom says
"mom really?" i say
"it's cool" jaden says
we go and i get shotgun while maya sits in the back and jaden drives.
"you know, my sisters not that cool. i'm cooler" maya says smirking
"dude you're 14" i say
"yeah and?" she says
"and that's illegal. plus you still piss the bed" i say
"i do not!" she says
"sounds to me like someone has a crush on jaden" i say to her
"that makes two of us" she says back and i stick my tongue out at her.
we get to the mall and i turn to her
"we're getting clothes for us. for the tour. so you're gonna have to be patient" i say
"gross" she says and i smack her arm.
we get a bunch of outfits and then ate.
"shit i forgot to tell you. we leave on wednesday to meet up with some of the boys" jaden says. it's monday.
"well i probably should start packing" i say
"me too" jaden laughs
we go back to my house and jaden helps me pick out what to bring. i leave out an outfit for tomorrow and one for the airport then keep everything else i'd need in a bag. we talk to my mom and my mom asks if i can stay home by myself for the night so she has some time with me. we agree and jaden goes home. after putting my siblings to bed my mom and i watched a movie and when i went to my room. i put shorts and a sports bra on and washed my face and as i was about to get into bed i saw jadens hoodie sitting on my bed. i put it on and it smells so good. i snapchatted him a pic of me wearing it and said "look what i found"
he sent a pic of him smiling back and we talked all night until i fell asleep. i wake up to jaden facetiming me.
"yeah?" i say when i answer
"i need help! i don't know what to pack" he says
"how?" i laugh
"i helped you pack" he says
"that was because i have no idea what we'd be doing." i say
"uggghhh" he sighs
then maya walks into my room
"ever heard of knocking?" i say
"mom made breakfast and jack won't eat." she says
"fuck i gotta go i'll call you later" i say to jaden
"okay bye" he says and i hang up and go upstairs
"what are you wearing?" maya asks
"a hoodie?" i reply
once jack saw me he stopped crying and started smiling
"what am i gonna do without you?" my mom sighs
"it'll be fine. he loves you too." i say and sit next to jack.
"not as much as he loves you" she says
"jack" i say and he looks at me
"mommy, listen to mommy" i say and he points to my mom
"yes good job!" i say. he laughs and i help him eat.
we finish eating around 12.
"we're getting a baby sitter for the kids, so i was hoping that you, amy, maya and i would go out for supper. you can invite jaden if you want" she smiles
"sure. i'll go call him." i say and go down to my room
i call him and he answers quickly
"i figured it out!" he says happily and i laugh
"my mom wants you to come out for supper with us and the two older ones of my siblings." i say
"i'd love to. what time?" he asks
"well you could just come right away and we could hang out for a bit" i say smiling
"great idea. i'll just shower" he says
"i needa shower too. i'll text you when you can come." i say
"byeee" we both say and hang up.
i shave and wash my hair and body and then get dressed in leggings and jadens hoodie.
i get a text from jaden:
jaden:) : what do i wear
me: nothing fancy, we're just going to like ihop or something.
jaden:) : word
me: you can come whenever
jaden:) : i'll be there in ten;)
me: okay:)
i go upstairs to help with the babies and wait for jaden.
"what did he say?" my mom asks
"he's coming" i say
we sit there for a bit and then there's a knock on the door. i get the door while holding jack, when jack sees jaden he screams and laughs, trying to get to jaden.
"he likes you too" i laugh
"can you two stay up here for a bit? i have to make them something before the babysitter gets here" my mom says from the kitchen
"yeah sure." i say and turn to jaden
"come sit" i smile
i put jack on the floor next to the couch and he crawls to jaden.
"he really likes you" i laugh
jaden picks him up and jack just loves it.
we wait till my mom gets them food and i feed jack and we go downstairs. we just talk about how the tours gonna go and then my mom tells us it's time to go. we went to ihop and sat down. i was in between jaden and amy, my mom and maya were on the other side.
"so jaden, what school do you go to?" my mom asks
"i do online school" jaden replies
"what's that?" amy asks
"i do all of my work on a computer instead of going to class" he says
"cool" amy says
we order our food and eat.
"how are you guys getting to the airport tomorrow?" my mom asks
"my uncles taking us, so it'd be easier if you stayed at my house tonight" jaden says and looks at me
i look at my mom
"yeah that's okay" she says.
"could you put jack to bed first though? and say bye to everyone" she says
"yeah of course " i say 
after we eat and go home, then jaden and i go down to my room to grab my stuff. i make sure i have everything,
"what's wrong?" jaden asks
"i've never been on a plane." i say nervously
"wait actually? it's not scary or anything" he says. i don't say anything
"i promise" he says and sits next to me. i look at him and we both lean in. our lips hit together and this time it's more of a make out.
we both quickly pull away when we hear someone knock on the door. "come in" i say as i get up and go to the bathroom to get toiletries. my mom walks in as i shut my suit case and put a few things in my bag.
she comes up to me and hugs me.
"i'm gonna miss you" she says
"it's only for a few weeks" i say
i say goodbye to everyone and we go to jadens house. we basically talk for a bit and then i fall asleep on his chest.
