Chapter 17

Christian's POV:

We embrace each other for the following minutes before I look into her eyes and hold her hands.

"I'm so sorry." I start. "You had just given birth to the most beautiful baby, if I can say so myself." I chuckle and look down at our hands. "I complained and argued with you about all my problems."

She lifts my chin up and kisses my forehead gently.

"I'm so, so sorry..." I cry. "Your life has been hell every since you met me—"

"Hey, look at me." I slowly lift my eyes to meet hers. "You are my best friend, my other half." She whispers. "You mean the whole world to me, Christian."

"Fuck, what did I do to deserve you?" We both laugh quietly. "Come here."

I pull her in for another hug and kiss her cheek. I stroke her hair gently and whisper, "I love you."

Anastasia's POV:

It was in this exact moment that I felt everything was going to be fine.

"I think I should feed Kaia." I say whole wiping away my tears.

"I'll come with you." My husband said.

He gets up then helps with stand as I hold our baby girl. As we head for our room, Christian and I walk hand in hand, and I smile as he rocks them back and forth.

He supports me to the ricking chair and places a pillow under the baby while I remove my shirt and bra.

"Here you go, sweetie." I tell Kaia. I tickle her lips with my nipple until she opens her mouth wide. I turn my gaze to Christian who looks down at our newborn, mesmerized.

"It's beautiful." He says. "Every time I see this... it makes me realize what I would miss if you and I kept arguing..."

I cup his cheek with my hand. "We're going to get passed all of this." I smile. "It's just another rough patch in our marriage."

We kiss each other passionately.

After I had breastfed and burp Kaia, I put her down for a nap. Christian had gone to work for a couple hours leaving me alone with nothing to do. I lay down on our bed and grab a random magazine.

I read the cover of People Magazine: A Marriage In Danger. Shock hits me and I rapidly read the caption: Anastasia fights for hope as Christian ruins their marriage. I flip through the pages until I reach the main article.

According to an unnamed source, the marriage of 22 years old Anastasia Steele and 28 years old Christian Grey has took an unexpected turn these last couple weeks. The source declared that their marriage was in a tough place due to the billionaire's absence and lack of respect towards his wife. "Ana deserves a better life and a much more caring husband," The source said, adding: "It's definitely hard for them to find things in common due to their 6 year age gap."

Several rumors have also been going around claiming that Ana's beau is cheating on her as he has been spotted multiple times with his mistress, Elena Lincoln (also known as Mrs. Robinson).
