Christian's POV:

"I better go." She gently puts her plate in the sink and goes to get her purse which is sitting on the couch. "I will see you in a few hours." I love that woman so much. Everything single fucking thing: her looks, her personality, everything. From the way she is so commanding in bed but so innocent at the same time to the way she laughs at my dumb jokes or how she gets me Valentine's gifts when she knows I hate that kind of shit.

As the elevator doors closes, leaving me alone in the penthouse, she blows me a kiss.

I am about to become a father, she a mother. We need to be honest with each other for the sake of our baby girl. I need to tell her where I was last night. If she finds out on her own, she is going to be fucking pissed...

Anastasia's POV:

There are many other hair salons, but I decide to choose one that will really piss the hair dresser. Sawyer waits for me with the Audi and I climb in silently. We drive down there in the beautiful blue sky above us. It takes us less than ten minutes to get there. I spot the grand place. He drops me off right in front of the entrance.

"Would you like me to come in with you, Mrs. Grey?" Sawyer asks.

"I will be fine, thank you." I leave without another word. I knew that if he accompanied me, he would immediately tell Christian.

I walk into the clean place, looking as innocent as ever. I look around and I spot her.

"Elena, dear." I walk over to her with my arms wide open. She looks up, but doesn't move.

"What are you doing here?"

"What does it look like? I'm here for a little trim." I smile a huge grin. She looks at me, confused, and shrugs.

"Step into that chair." She points at the end of the room.

"Perfect."

I gracefully remove my coat and place it in the chair next to me. I swing my hair to my back and grab my phone as it rings. I look over to see a text from Christian.

*Why are you at Elena's?*

*What do you mean?*

*Sawyer saw you. Don't be a dumbass with me.*

*Babe, I'm just here to get a little trim. Remember the first time you brought me here? My hair had never looked better.* I send a heart emoji with that text. It takes him a while to respond.

*Please don't say bad or mean things.*

*I won't. But why would I? I'm an angel...*

*You promise?*

*I never promise.* I send him the wink emoji and shut my phone off. Elena walks over with a towel in her hand. She waves me towards the sinks. I follow, and close my eyes as she gets to work.

"Why are you here?" I feel her breath as she whispers into my ear.

"Elena, dear, I already told you."

"Of course! Just to take a trim? You didn't come here to brag about your amazing life? Well let me tell you something. The only reason you are even in his life is because of me. I created this man, the man you married. You love him, but you don't know who he really is. He acted so much more different when we were together! You changed him and the looks on his face prove that." She whispers so loudly a few customers turn to look at us.

"Elena, I just want you to know one thing. I love this man. I married him not for his money or his reputation but in love. I love him so dearly. You will never understand that, you will never get that chance to experience it. I don't know why you think this about him? He is amazing, and I'm glad that he is out of your life." I turn around, keeping my voice calm but fierce. "For good."

"Out of his life?" She cackles. "Ana, I am a scar. Neither you or him will ever be able to get rid of me."

"And what makes you so sure about that? I am pregnant with his child. He will do anything to protect her. Even if that means staying the hell away from you." I raise one eyebrow and smile evilly.

"Oh, I don't know. Maybe the fact that he still comes and confides in me." It's either my shocked face or just her evil soul that makes her want to continue. Confides in her? I thought we were past that. He promised me that he would never speak to her again.

"I... You--" I try hard to find a comeback, but nothing.

"Just face, Anastasia. There is something about you that you won't admit to others, but that only I know."

"Of course! Of course you know one fucking secret about me! Stop pretending like you know everything!"

"But I do."

"Then tell me what that one secret is. The one that I hide so dearly not even Christian knows about." I look at her with a straight face. "Tell me." Her face, once mad and annoyed, turns into a wicked grin.

"Before I tell you, there is one other thing you should know about... our relationship." She air-quotes relationship. "You and I, we are both competing for Christian."

"Competing for Christian?! The game is over! He chose me. Me!"

"But you know what, I am as much a part of Christian's life as you are." I know she is trying to get me as angry as possible. But I won't let her. I take a deep breath before talking again.

"Fine, if we are both on opposing teams, than what is it that I hold on so truly?" I ask her.

"The fact that you lost."
