Chapter 1

"Hey, I'm home," a loud voice yelled, the door to my apartment closing. I didn't move at all. I stayed tucked in my bed, my laptop besides me as I watched Bachelor in Paradise. "Ryan?" There was a soft knock on my bedroom door.

"Come in," I called out, turning the volume up on my computer.

"What are you doing?" My 6'7" roommate laughed, walking over and climbing under my blankets, sitting besides me.

"Shhh," I whispered, placing my head on his shoulder, not once looking away from the screen. "NO WAY!" I yelled, sitting up. "NO!" I gasped, placing my laptop on my nightstand, throwing the blankets off of me and standing up on my bed. "NO WAY!" I yelled, looking down at my roommate who was laughing at me.

"I'm so confused," he smiled as I giggled softly, shaking my head.

"Aaron, Jordan, who is the love of my life, just fought Christian because he was making moves on Nicole, who's Clay's girl, all because he wanted to be a good friend to Clay," I smirked as Aaron laughed loudly, shaking his head.

"No way," he chuckled, smiling as I nodded, hopping off my bed and heading to my closet.

"How was the game? Did you win?" I smiled back at him before digging through my clothes.

"Yes m'am, we won 8-3," he sighed, grabbing one of my pillows and holding it close to him as he laid down on my bed under my covers.

"And how'd you do?" I sighed, grabbing one of the many sweatshirts I stole from Aaron, throwing it on over my Rockie's t-shirt making Aaron cringe. "Leave me alone," I giggled, closing my closet door before running over and jumping into my bed. I laid down with a big smile taking over my face as I laid face to face with Aaron.

"I did alright," he sighed, clearing his throat. "I went 1-5 with a 2 run double," he grinned as I gasped, sticking my hand up. He laughed softly before complying with my high-five offer.

"Look at you! That's what I call good hitting," I giggled as he nodded.

"You coming tomorrow night?" He smiled hopefully as I shook my head.

"No, I have a dinner tomorrow night with my sister. Speaking of my sister, do you know anyone who wants to be my date for her wedding? It's on Saturday the 31st. It starts at 8... don't ask," I injected before Aaron had any chance to say anything.

"I'll go," he smiled softly as I laughed, shaking my head.

"Sorry bud, but I kinda want somebody that I can maybe date," I smiled as Aaron laughed, nodding his head.

"And I'm not boyfriend material?" he smirked as I shook my head.

"No, you're my best friend," I smiled, as he nodded, clearing his throat.

"I can ask T Wade or Didi if you want," he gulped as I nodded, smiling brightly.

"Thanks, Bubba," I giggled, grabbing his hand in mine.

"Any time, Bub," he chuckled, squeezing my hand.

"How are you not snatched up yet?" I smirked as he laughed loudly, sitting up.

"Goodnight, Ryan," he smiled over at me as I giggled, sitting up.

"I'm serious," I laughed as he rolled his eyes, shaking his head as he stood up.

"Get a goodnight sleep," he smiled back at me as I giggled softly.

"I'm going to set you up with my friend, Cameron. She's a sweet girl," I smiled as he nodded, walking towards the door.

"I'll see you in the morning. Goodnight," he smiled as I giggled, smiling back at him.

"Goodnight," I giggled, pulling my honey brown hair behind my ears as he laughed softly, walking out of my room, closing the door behind him.
