Tony paced back and forth. He could not believe what he'd dragged the kid into.

•hey rhodey•
•Tony?•
•can you come over real quick 👍 •
•sure•
Tony continued to pace around the room until Rhodey walked through the elevator doors.
"Rhodes, I need your help."
"Wow, I haven't seen you this worked up since you burned your microwaveable meal for one last week."
"Rhodey this is serious." He looked his friend straight in the eye. "Listen, I love the kid so much but I've brought him into a world that he is NOT safe in."
"Hold on, is this the spider kid?"
"God Tony, I told you not to let him get involved, he's a KID!" Rhodey rolled his eyes and crossed his arms.
"He knows too much."
"Well we could always use... Ross' plan."
"Rhodey are you fricking kidding me?! I am not wiping the kid's memory." Tony had already thought this through, or had he? Thoughts rushed through his already crammed mind.
• It's not the right decision•
He tapped his foot on the ground.
• or would it, he'd finally be safe•
" you're right." He gave in.
"I'm-hang on- did you just admit that I'M right? Wow, well there's a first for everything I guess."
" get me three."
"Three of what?"
"The pill: one for the kid, his aunt and the kid from school."
"You sure?"
"Yeah."
* * *
It was with a heavy heart that Tony dissolved the pill in peter's drink. Soon he would forget everything.
He felt sick, his stomach felt heavy.
"Here kid, I made some juice this morning, why don't you take some to your friend ned's or give some to your aunt."
As Peter left the tower, tears (much like broken soldiers) rolled down Tony's face, he tried to hold them back but his throat tightened, his hands clenched. He'd lost the kid.
