I Need To Protect Them

The Birthday Party -Part 2

-Peter's POV-
I've decided that as the full moon approaches I should be there with them, I need to know if they'll accept me. That's all I care about right now.

I'm at home getting ready for tonight, I've made sure that I'm in some of my nicer clothes ( smokey grey denim jacket, black skinny jeans with slight rips in the knees, black glossy doc martens, black floral shirt and a crystal shard necklace of my own in a purple/lilac colour) I'm just about ready to go now, I'm going to start heading out now. I close the door and lock it, after walking for about 25-30 mins I arrive at their door and knock.

Some random girl comes and opens the door for me and lets me inside, "I can't believe I'm actually inside Luke's house!" I can practically smell him and my other mates all over the house. I mean they do hangout almost everyday from what I've gathered while seeing them all leave together.

"This party is extremely intense, so many people are here and I've not seen anyone of my mates yet. It's nearly midnight 11:50 to be precise, soon they'll all know who I'am. The spell I've placed on them is practically gone." Everyone is now starting to move outside where a small round stage has been set up, I'm assuming it's so that they can see if their mates are at this party. I'm getting soo nervous that I feel like I'm on the verge of a panic attack -11:59 pm- it's here, the full moon is out!

-12:00 pm- "I can feel the spell finally lift from them and myself, now they know. They're all standing on the stage looking around, they soon turn to me. I see and feel all their eyes lock onto me, then all in sync they say "Mate", they now know who I am. "I feel a sudden anxiousness surround me as they soon get down to march toward me, so I do the one thing I know how to do perfectly "completely conceal myself from them and leave the party as quickly as possible" I turn back to look at them once more, they look absolutely dumbfounded as to where I've gone.

As soon as I make it back home I make sure to conceal my whole house so that they can't find me and I decide to go upstairs and take a long hot shower to at least try and calm myself down, I can feel all the anxiety release from my body as the hot water hits my skin.

-Luke's POV-
"Our party is going just as I thought it would, perfectly. I've been dancing and having fun speaking to everybody here tonight, it sure does eat at the time though. It's almost midnight now -11:50 pm- I speak to the guys through our pack link and ask them to come outside to the stage, so that when it hits -12:00 pm- we have a good view of everyone at our party incase our mates are here.

By the time it took everyone to gather outside around the stage it was -11:59 pm- I can feel something becoming more clear as it is nearly midnight. As it hits -12:00 pm- I can feel my senses kick into over drive trying to find our mate, this feeling is so strong! I can feel our mate is near.

As we are all searching the crowd I can suddenly feel a pull towards a certain spot and I decide to follow my instincts to look in that place. As I do I see him and I just know he's my mate, "my mates actually a guy?!?!, but somehow I don't really care its like its just me and him in this space right now, I lock eyes with him and I can just feel the immensely strong connection between us. I finally realise that I'm not the only one looking at him, David, Nathaniel, Lucien and Lycancie have also locked eyes with him and in unison we all say "Mate."

" I can't believe it?!, we are all sharing a mate? That's unheard of, werewolves don't normally share mates maybe in rare cases two people can share one mate, but not five!! What's happened here? Why has it been decided that we are all sharing a mate!? "This is crazy!?"

I must say though he's absolutely gorgeous, his entire existence is beautiful beyond compare. He's like nothing I've ever seen before. As we all start walking towards him, I sense a type of panic rush over him and he quickly just disappears? How can someone who was just standing right in front of us just vanish? Did he conceal himself? That must mean he's a witch right? "We need to find him but if he has panicked and left so quickly I doubt he'll let us find him tonight, I think we might have to try again tomorrow but unfortunately we have school, I wonder if he goes to the same school as us? He seems to be around the same age as us from what I could tell? But I guess we'll
find out when we actually meet him.

-Lycancie's POV-
"When I saw him, I just knew he was the one. He was our mate, I've never really cared about whether I ended up mated to a guy or a girl. It didn't even matter to me, I just wanted to be with him and I wanted to properly meet him. I want to hold him in my arms, I want to protect him. We need to find him soon but the way he used a concealment spell and disappeared without a trace was really quite rare because even if a concealment spell has been used there is almost always some other way to track that person, but he just completely vanished without a trace at all. Now that is what I call a high level spell, the other witches in the school can't even do that! He must be pretty powerful to have used a spell like that but I guess I'll just have to find that out when I meet him."

-Lana Evergrave's POV-
"Well Peter disappearing like that wasn't completely unexpected, but I mean I didn't even think he'd show up again after I knew that he gave the presents to his mates but I guess he couldn't not be here to see them when they were finally able to sense him. He must've been a nervous wreck, because the way he disappeared after they found him was quite amusing if I'm being honest but I think I would've done the same thing if I were in his position. I guess I will just have to make sure that things don't get out of hand when they do finally meet Peter, this we be an eventful next few days I can already tell."

-Luke's POV- later that night in bed
"I wonder why he started to panic? I would've thought he would've been just as excited to see us as we were to see him? But I guess it might've been too much for him to find out we are all mated to him, I guess if I were in the same position I would've panicked as well."

"As I'm in bed thinking about everything, I realise that I'm pretty sure he was wearing a similar necklace to what we had been giving earlier that night. I wonder if it was the same? I'm like 90% sure that it was but I guess there's nothing I can really do about finding that out until I meet him, I did at first think that it was our principal that gave it to us but when I was talking to her earlier tonight she said that it wasn't and that the magic that was within the crystals was even beyond her to measure, could our mate really be that strong? But how? If he is that powerful that would mean he would be stronger than us as well? As we are no match even for our Principal, we would be destroyed within like a minute. I guess that's the kind of power you get with being the Principal at a supernatural school as well as the guardian in our area."

"Even though with normal mated pairs the submissive is usually always weaker than the dominate mate, I wonder what's going on? I guess that's some more questions I'll have to ask him. I can feel my eyes getting heavy as I feel myself slowly going to sleep."
