I Need To Protect Them

Chapter 7 - Staying the week at my mates house?

- Peter's Pov -
Waking up this Morning feels just like a breath of fresh air, I feel absolutely ecstatic like the air has been electrified. Finally getting up and out of bed then heading downstairs towards the kitchen to make breakfast for myself ( just some toast), whilst sitting down eating I get a notification from my phone, Hmm? I've been added to a group chat with all my mates? I soon start getting messages from everybody saying good morning and that they would like to meet at their house later around 11:30 am, to have me spend the next week there { when mates are first paired they get a week off so that they can start to spend time with their mates }. I've got a few hours to get myself ready and pack for the week at their place. I'm super excited but a little nervous to stay there but I'm sure it'll be an amazing time!

After finishing up breakfast and doing the dishes, I go and start getting ready, having a hot shower and freshening myself up sounds like a good choice to start with. After getting out of the shower I start choosing a outfit I can wear to go to meet them, I want to look my best for them.

- Luke's POV -
Finally its time! Peter gets to stay for entire week! we're going to be able to finally get to know him and likewise he'll get to know us as well. I cannot wait to see Peter! Everyone is really excited to see him, we'll be able to spend the whole week with him. We decided to make a group chat earlier and invite Peter over to stay for the week and he accepted our invitation, we're so happy that he's going to be staying here. It's going to be awesome!

Myself and Nathaniel decided we'd go and pick Peter up from his house when he texts us that he's ready to go, but until then we're all just chilling around the house wasting time and getting the guest room ready for Peter to stay in.

- Peter's POV -
I'll text them all soon saying that I've finally finished getting ready and that they can pick me up whenever they'd like to. I heard that they even have their own place now since they've turned 18 and it's the packs tradition for them to have their own home to help them better transition into college and then into being adults so that they can be a successful part of the community. That's just a part of how it works.

It's pretty lucky for us being in the location where we are, we have amazing high schools and colleges all around us so we'll be able to stay close to all of our family's and each other, I'm really lucky to have my mates to be able to spend my life with, all I want for them is to live a long happy life. I hope I can make that a reality for them.

I give in and finally message them to see if they can come pick me up, I'm getting butterflies just thinking about spending the week with them. I hope I don't make a fool of myself and they end up thinking I'm weird or anything.

- Nathaniel's POV -
We finally got the message saying that Peter is ready to get picked up, being able to spend the next week with him is going to be an amazing time. I can't wait to be able to hold him in my arms, to actually get to know him and love him with all that I am. Lucien decided to also tag along on the drive over with me and Luke, he was saying that he was too excited to be able to stay at the house and wait for us to come back with Peter. David and Lycancie decided to hang back at the house wait for us to come back, if they had come as well then there wouldn't have been any room for Peter and his stuff to fit in the car.

The drive over is only about 10-15 minutes if it had've been any longer then I think I would've starting getting fidgety with excitement although I still have butterflies, I think we're all excited to have Peter stay the week with us. We haven't told Peter yet that we've planned for us to go out to a restaurant and a movie, a date with all of us. We're hoping to surprise him.

- Lucien's POV -
Wow I think this is the first time I've ever been so ecstatic! Spending time with Peter is going to be literally so amazing, I can't help but want to just run out of the car and just hug him when we finally get there. Peter staying the week at our new place is gonna be so much fun, I can't wait to see him!

- Luke's POV -
Driving to Peters house feels like forever, I guess thats what the mix of nervousness and excitement will do to a guy. All of us getting to spend time with Peter is really going to be incredible!

Once arriving to Peters house we see his bags outside and him locking his house, all I can think to myself is how lucky I am to be able to have someone that beautiful in all of our lives. Peter is definitely not who I expected my mate to be but I'm so happy that he is, he's definitely better than what I expected, the most beautiful person on this earth as far as I'm concerned and we're all so lucky that we get to spend our lives with him.

As Peter starts heading towards the car we all jump out and head over to greet him, we all hug Peter taking our turns, Lucien hugs him first he was so excited to see Peter he practically jumped out of the car before it stopped moving and ran over to Peter and hugged him, it was pretty funny to see. I guess it surprised Peter to be hugged so suddenly, the shocked look on his face was really funny and super cute.

After greeting Peter we put his bags into the boot of the car quite a lot of stuff but I guess that's because he's staying the whole week with us, it's better to have more than less. As we finished packing all of his things in the car, he told us that he would like to protect the house with a spell so that no just anyone can enter the house without our permission and the house will be impenetrable to any spell or other supernatural beings. I actually like the fact that Peter wants to protect us, it makes me happy that he's thinking about us. I find it really cute, Peter's just so beautiful, I couldn't have asked for a more perfect mate.  

( A/N: most clans have witches that have worked within their clans for years or they possess abilities that can be used to defend themselves against magic. Also all students are required to learn about magic in high school so they know how to defend themselves against it, if the time ever arises that they needed to.)

- Peter's POV -
After finishing packing all of my bags into the car, we load into the car. I'm sitting in the back with Lucien next to me, I have major butterflies right now and when I feel any form of nervousness usually my magic flares up, it tends to show mostly in my eyes they start to glow and an array of colours will show making my eye colour swirl and shift. I can usually control it but when I'm with my mates I can't seem to get a grip on my nervousness. I still cannot believe that I get to spend an entire week with all my mates, it all feels so surreal.

The ride there was so awesome we all just chatted the entire time, also Lucien kept scooting closer to me in the car and asking if he could put his arm over my shoulders, I said no twice and then he asked again for a third time, so I finally gave in and let him wrap his arm around me. I can't say it didn't feel like bolts of lightning running throughout my entire body, with my cheeks also flushing a deep raspberry pink. He seemed quite pleased with himself once he gazed downward towards my face and saw my eyes shifting colours and my face flushed, the look he had on his face was so mischievous like he'd just won a major prize. I must admit that look suited him perfectly and I didn't mind either, Lucien has the most devilishly handsome face I've ever seen before. My mates are so beautifully handsome each in their own unique way, They're all so perfect. I don't think I could have been more lucky to have them.
