They walked in silence until they came upon this abandoned lot with a broken down privacy fence all around it.  Justyn lifted up a broken board and held it as they crawled through.  They walked though the mess of junk disregarded by all the years of neglect.  After walking a few yards, there in front of them stood their special place--an abandoned cabin.  Justyn had found it years ago while walking the streets during one of his thinking moments as he calls them.  He brought Rayne to it that night and they sat talked for hours.  Rayne knew that night that they would be best-friends for ever.  They were bonded to each other.  Well that is outside of school, when they are by themselves they are best-friends.  The situation is difficult at school.  You may be thinking that Justyn doesn’t wanna be around Rayne at school but your wrong.  Rayne doesn’t want to be near Justyn.

They use to hang out all the time. At school, at their houses, to the store, the park, EVERYWHERE! They were always at each other’s sides.  But one day Rayne was walking with Justyn to lunch and one of Justyn’s guy-friends from the football team came up and was talking to Justyn.  Then he stared making fun of Rayne and despite Justyn’s attempts he wouldn’t stop.  The boy pushed Rayne down and she jumped up ready to fight.  She told him to come at her, if he thought he was man enough.  Before any punches were thrown a teacher had dragged them both to the office.  They had both had to tell their sides of the story but of course since the boy was on the football team they took his side and Rayne had detention for a week…

She was deep in thought when Justyn had handed her a bottle of water and she didn’t realize she  was squeezing it that hard until it spilt over the top and got all over her pants.  Gah!!

“Easy Tiger, It’s just a water bottle, what did it ever do to you?” he teased grabbing a towel and handing it to her. He was a major sweet heart.

There goes the blushing again, she mumbled a thanks and sat it in her lap, then put the cap on her water. If that wasn’t bad enough, the towel smelt like stale pee. Nasty.

“Everything okay?” he asked unsure of what to do now other than sit across from her on the make shift stools made out of flipped over milk crates. Hey, they worked.

“Uh, yeah. Peachy actually.” She said dryly. No, everything is most defiantly not fine. I’m wet and it looks like I pee’d myself and I’m making a fool out of myself in front of you. She was still curious as to why he wanted her to hurry up and meet him here. Did he have some important news? Oh god, was he wanting to talk about his sex life.. She wanted nothing to do with that unless she was the one- You know what? Never mind. Uggh, what if he was going to talk about girls again? She’s heard so much about that one blonde cheerleader she could practically write a documentary. She didn’t care how her boobs bounced when she ran the track when the boys were at practice. Did she go around talking about how attractive you look in those designer jeans? No. That would be awkward. She looked at him from behind her annoying bangs.

“So, you called me hither?” she asked trying to get rid of the awkwardness.

“Oh yeah! You know my girlfriend Amanda? Well, we had this huge fight and ..” he rambled on and on forever and ever. It was like he was a girl or something… He just didn’t stop. “Anyway, what do you think I should do?” he asked. He looked like he truly wanted her opinion. Oh shit..

“If I were in your position, I’d dump the hoe. Just saying.” She said shrugging. It was true, she’d defiantly dump the hoe. She didn’t have to hear about it to know that Amanda was the biggest whore in school. She had probably done everyone boy in the school, and all the schools around them and around those… Rayne shuddered at the though.

Justyn laughed softly, “What am I going to do with you. Rayne?” Fuck me on the table, right here right now. Too far? “I know you never liked Amanda.. and I know she says shit about you at school, but..”

“Woah woah woah… she talks shit about me at school?! When did this start Justyn, this is new information to me.” Rayne said getting a little defensive. If some bitch had the nerve to spread false stuff about her at school, that bitch needs to grow some balls and say it to her face.

“Hey, It’s not like that okay? I’m just saying, you guys bicker. That’s all.” He trailed off, knowing that she was pissed now. He’s known Rayne long enough to know when and when not, Rayne was pissed. Right now was defiantly a ‘get away now before she beats some ass’ moment.

“Yeah, I think it kinda is Justyn. After the way she treats you, you’re going to go defend her because she’s more popular and prettier than me. I’m not stupid. I’ve been through these situations before. They always protect the prettier ones. I’m sorry I’m not a blonde with big boobs, but I am your friend, and if that bitch wants to say something, she can say it to my face, not spread it all over the school. That’s what little seventh graders do. Side with her if you want Justyn, but you need to get your friends and your enemies straight. “ With that, Rayne got up from the spot she was sitting and walked out. He was seriously pissing her off. Yes, he was hot and was an amazing person, but seriously? He asks her about Amanda? Of  all people… If it were up to her, Justyn would be single and NOT looking. God, guys are so dumb!

Before Rayne’s hand met with the handle, Justyn grabbed her arm. “Rayne, don’t be like this.. You misunderstood me!” he pleaded. Oh god, he’s not quilting me into this..

“No Justyn. Figure stuff out, then talk to me. I’m done for the time being. Just… let go.” She said the last part softly. She just wanted to go home. Alone. She should have never came out. She felt like such a bitch and didn’t want to look back after her released her arm. Was she too harsh on him? Maybe. This has been inside her for so long though; she finally just let it out. Justyn didn’t try to stop her this time as she hurried through the lot and back out the fence. She took off at a sprint once she found the sidewalk, she wanted out of there. It was time for chick flicks and Ben and Jerry’s ice cream and comfy clothes. Boys sucked!

Her feet pounded the sidewalk as she ran, it began raining, and raining hard. When she reached the porch she was soaked head to toe, there was no way in hell she could go in the front way. Rayne climbed up the trellis on the side of the house and made her way to her bedroom window. Thank god she left it cracked slightly. She climbed through her window, then closed it behind her. She glanced over to the window that faced Justyn’s room and she shut the curtains again. If he were to get home anytime soon, she didn’t want to see him. It killed her that she was doing this, but she was trying to prove a point to him. She couldn’t just cave at his looks.

She dried off in her bathroom and changed into some comfy sweat pants and a tight tank top, and put on some mix matched ankle socks. Throwing her messy black hair into a messy bun, she walked downstairs and grabbed the container of Ben and Jerry’s, and a spoon. She decided to watch ‘Mean Girls’ and pout. Now who was she going to write notes to from across a 10 food radius. Her other neighbor was weird as fuck.
