The DanPlan YouTube channel, an unsteady way to make a living for Daniel, Stephen, and Hosuh, was slowly dropping in popularity. At first it was subtle and not of any concern, but recently it's become too low, too low to receive enough income to pay for the apartment the three lived in.

Maybe it was just a bad year, or maybe James Charles' makeup tutorials seemed more captivating than their videos. And you'd think Hosuh would be the most worried about losing the channel, but you'd be wrong.

It was actually Dan who was the most afraid, and rightfully so. He was the one who began the channel, and the one who had put the most hope and faith into it. And of course Stephen and Hosuh were worried too, but Dan was the main victim.

So seeing as how distressed Daniel was about this stressful situation, his two best friends were to do something about it.

Hosuh pulled back the chair from underneath the dinner table to sit by Dan. "Hello, Daniel." Hosuh greeted with a sad, yet sympathetic smile.

"Hey Hosuh, how have you been?" Daniel gives a strained grin, leaning his head on his fist looking as if he's trying not to fall asleep.

"I should be asking you that!" He slightly jumped up in his seat. "How are you feeling?" The innocent boy worried as he tugged on his mocha coloured scarf, a nervous habit he wished to leave behind.

"Could be better." Dan chuckled softly, as a sigh came following after it. "I just don't know what to do, if we lose the channel, it's basically game over." He rubbed the back of his neck a little too hard.

"Oh Daniel... I promise it'll get better. We just have to keep working hard, and keep looking up." He confidently stated, making the other male laugh. "But in the mean time, is there anything I could do to make you feel any better?"

"Anything?"

"Anything." Hosuh placed his hand on Dan's shoulder, reassuring him.

"I want you to finally get along with that idiot." He chortled, half joking.

"But it's impossible!" He dramatically waved his arms in the air, playing along.

They both laughed for the first time in awhile. It was a nice feeling, but was soon dreaded with sadness as they both realised having the privilege of this feeling may drift away.

"But really, I think it's funny how you out of all people don't get along with him- hell, you live together!" Dan truthfully stated, already knowing what the other was going to respond with.

"... We're just too opposite I guess. And he does all of these little annoying things, and- ugh." Hosuh subconsciously ranted, creating meaningless hand gestures to match his speech. Resting his arms on the table in defeat, he looks up at Daniel. "Sorry."

"Don't be, and I know he might come off as... 'cynical', but he's a good person."

"I know." How the tables have turned, Daniel is the one comforting Hosuh when it should be the other way around. "It's getting late, you should get some rest, you look tired." He added, observing the slight bags under his eyes.

"You should too."

"I will." A strange twinge of uncertainty occurred, as he wasn't too fixated on the idea of going to bed tonight.

Standing up, he walks to the hallway's door. Before he steps through, he turns back around. "Night dude." He sincerely smiles, giving the sentence it's cherry on top.

"Goodnight Daniel."

"Hosuh." The cynical one enunciated. Although it was only one word, it was overly intimidating.
