"Hey."

John snapped out of his daze, staring at his magenta haired friend. Or rather, girlfriend. He sipped the drink in his hand, staring back at her blue eyes. "What?"

They were both sitting in equally fancy seats, across the table from each other, although they knew they'd have to move soon enough, they felt comfortable. After all, they weren't going to be alone.

The little chandelier just above them twinkled and shined with every movement. And the constant chatter coming from other people in the restaurant drowned out most of the others noise.

"Arlo and Elaine are late," she stated, gazing at her nails. "Can't say I'm surprised, but for such a diligent person like Arlo to be late..." she gave John a half hearted smile. "Well, we could simply say that something got in their way."

"Or maybe it's just that Elaine takes too long to pick an outfit, just like you."

Seraphinas eyes flashed back to the ravenette, and she pursued her lips. "I don't take that long," she insisted, rolling her eyes. "You should see some of the others, how long they take to decide what to wear-"

Pursing his lips, John only shrugged. "You take long enough," he concluded. However, when he saw the glare Seraphina shot him, he couldnt help but smile. "Oh come on, don't take that as an insult!"

The girl on the other end of the table wasn't amused, and crossing her legs, she continued to shoot glares at the ravenette. "John... don't even." But the laughter from his side of the table was filled with enough lightfullness, and even Seraphina cracked a smile. "Okay," she grinned, turning her head to the side. "I may take a while, but my point still stands."

John simply continued to laugh, throwing the occasional humorous stare at the girl across the table to him. When his laughter died off, and he leaned against the cushioned chairs, he crossed his arms, sighing. However, he still had a faint smile on his face.

Seraphina opened her mouth, beginning to speak. However, she was interrupted by the pair of people who arrived.

"Oh..."

The magenta haired girl stared blankly at John as he glared at the two people who had just arrived.

"You."

Dinner had gone perfectly after that, or well, however you wanted to describe perfect. For the past half and hour, John and Arlo had been shooting glares at one another, and neither Seraphina nor Elaine tried to stop them. It hadn't worked in the past.

"So," Seraphina, smiled, looking over to Elaine. "How're you doing." She kept her gaze away from the two boys on the other side of the table and beside her, who were still bickering.

"What is it with you and your system," John had retorted back to the blonde, who in stead glared back. "It's always your excuse isn't it? I'm the king," he mocked Arlo's voice, adding a squeaky edge to it. "And I get to do whatever the hell I want."

"I never said anything about me doing whatever I want," Arlo growled back, his fingers curling around the table. "Besides, what would you know about being king anyway? Last I heard, you only kept the title for a few weeks, before abusing it and losing everything."

John's eyes widened, and he lunged towards the other side of the table towards the blonde, arms outstretched. Luckily, Seraphina was just as fast, and grabbing him by his shoulders, she roughly sat him back down.

Elaine looked back over to Seraphina, and with a soft smile, and a worried look towards the two boys, she answered with a, "I'm doing good."

Seraphina who still kept her attention on John, hadn't let go of his shoulders. "Hey," she whispered softly, so that only both she and he could hear. "Don't let Arlo's words get to you, okay? That was a long time ago, and you've changed."

John seemed to have calm down a bit, but was still glaring at Arlo, who obviously was glaring back. Neither of the two was happy to be there, and both Elaine and Seraphina got the impression that this was a bad idea from the start.

Elaine cracked a smile, trying to lighten the mood, "So, how did everyone's day go?"

"Pretty good," Arlo looked over to Elaine, and the wisps of a smile came to his face. "Got to spend lunch with you, so that was nice."

John stuck his tongue out in disgust, "Ugh, Asslo, you smiled. I think my eyes are going to start bleeding..."

Seraphina took a deep breath in, trying to stay in control of her frustration. "John," she said slowly, "How about you tell us what you did today?"

He cast her a amused look before shrugging, "Not much, you know how I am, it's the weekend, and I didn't have too much to do."

"John, what did you do."

Sighing, he smirked. "Nothing gets past you Sera, does it?" However, he answered the question. "I guess... I was kinda just trying to get some dinner for tonight, mixing foods to make... a recipe of some sort. Didn't know we would be here anyway."

Arlo, who had now seemingly prepared himself for the next sour comment, scoffed. "John have you ever tried being normal, like, for once?"

The ravenette flicked his gaze back to the blonde, his eyes narrowing. "Actually," he began, "I tried. Once. Lasted about five seconds before I got bored."

Seraphina laid her head against the table, before muttering a, "Here we go again..."

Arlo hit the table with his fist, leaning in to growl at John. "Ugh, you probably don't even think of your actions or decisions before enough even take them!"

"Rest assured," John replied sarcastically, "I think my actions through, which is why when I generally punch you, I am confident in my decision."

"Arlo..." Elaine put a comforting hand on his shoulder, "Hey it's okay, we should just stop arguing, okay?"

"He looks like a motherf*cking piñata," Arlo growled, his fist clenching. "And I feel like I'm holding a stick."

"You are pushing all my f*cking buttons Asslo, I don't care if your girlfriend is here, I'll beat your ass if you continue!"

The blonde rolled his eyes, "Oh, all your buttons you say? Sorry, I was looking for mute."

Just at that very moment, the waiter came, menus in hand as he gazed upon the scene.

Seraphina had her head against the table, and it seemed as though she had given up with it all. Elaine still had her hand on Arlo's shoulder, but didn't even try to get him to calm down.

John was throwing a fit, and yelling a string of curses at the blonde, while Arlo was threatening to hit him with one of the plates on the table.

Ah, the usual.
