Chapter 8: Fuck this Shit

I woke up to the sun shining brightly into my room. I pulled the sheets off me and walked to the bathroom to brush my teeth. After I finished brushing my teeth I walked to the little kitchen area and decided to brew myself a cup of coffee. To my surprise Dani was already up cooking breakfast.

"Good Morning Dani, I'm surprised you're up.. It's only 10:30 you're never up this early" I said.

"I would still be sleeping but I woke up to go pee and I couldn't fall back asleep" She grumbled.

I chuckled to myself while adding cream and sugar to my coffee.

"D can you help take out my hair later, it's super hot here and I honestly just can't anymore." I asked her.

"Yeah sure, after I take my shower I'll help you out." She said.

I gave her a nod to let her know that I heard her. Dani and I ate the breakfast that she made while talking about random things.

"Are you excited to start school in the fall?" She asked me.

"I'm actually super terrified, academically I'm not that scared but for softball training I'm scared as hell." I told her.

"Why? You're like the best catcher I know." She said.

"Yeah, but like what if I get up there and I'm not as I think.. That would destroy me." I said.

"Come on V don't think like that, you'll do great." She said while giving me a hug.

I gave her a small smile in return. I took our plates to the sink and began to wash them. I washed all of the dishes and decided to wait for Dani to come out the shower and help me take out my hair. I turned on the TV and switched to Netflix to watch some movies. Soon after, my phone began to ring and it was my mom calling me. I missed her. We couldn't talk much because she was on her way to work but it was a nice conversation.

Soon after I ended the call, Dani came out in comfy clothes and a pair of scissors in her hand to cut the thread.

"You ready?" She asked.

"Yeah, I'm for this to come out NOW" I replied "We can watch a movie while you do it." I suggested.

"Yeah that's fine, I'm down for whatever" she replied.

I ended up putting on Legally Blonde for us to watch, one of my favorites. Midway through the movie I got a text for Giovanni.

What are your plans for today Bella?

Nothing, Dani is helping me with my hair right now, why?

I would like to know if you would accompany me tonight on a date..

I would love to, what time?

I'll be there by 8 and pack and overnight bag Bella

"So I'm going on a date later.." I told Dani.

"I know I read your texts over your shoulder." She replied

I rolled my eyes and laughed because that was typical Dani.

By the time she finished taking out my hair it was 2 pm and I decided to wash my hair and shower.

I used my favorite Shea Moisture, Manuka Honey and Mafura Oil shampoo and condition to get my scalp clean and curls popping. I then proceeded to add a deep conditioner to my hair and a shower cap. I put on a fluffy robe and walked to the kitchen to make myself lunch. I just poured a bowl of cereal and finished my movie on the couch. After I finished my cereal, I walked to my room and began to pack an overnight bag. I added some really cute underwear and matching bras, pajamas, house clothes, and clothes just incase we go out, and some shoes.
