Chapter 4

Dark's POV
I throw on a new pair of clothes before I dry my hair. I didn't want to scare the kid with any blood on my skin or clothes.
I dropped the towel on the floor before I ran my hand through my hair a few times before heading out of my room.
I walked into the living room to see Anti sitting next to the girl. She had a bowl in her lap filled with something, but I couldn't tell what it was.
Anti looked up at me and smiled before gently nudging the young girl to get her attention.
She looked up from her bowl and at Anti.
Anti then pointed at me to show her what he wanted her to look at.
She looked over to me with a sweet smiled.

Y/N's POV
I got off the couch before attempting to walk over to the guy known as Dark. I suddenly slipped again remembering that I had on the giant shirt.
Dark walked over to me and picked me up, resting me on his hip. He walked back to the couch before sitting down, with me on his lap.
"Okay sweetie, I wanted to let you know that you'll be living here from now on. I wanted to make sure you stay safe especially from those evil men who took you."
I looked down a bit sad, realizing that if Dark didn't take me back home then something happened.
"Dark did the evil guys kill daddy?" My voice cracked a bit when asking the question.
Dark sighed heavily before looking over to Anti, who put his hand on Dark's shoulder.

Dark then nodded. "Yea.. they did. And I'm very sorry." I felt a tear roll down my cheek before several more came.
I cuddled into Dark, crying on his chest. Dark hugged me tightly along with Anti.
The hug lasted several minutes before a phone started ringing. Dark groaned under his breath before placing me onto Anti's lap.
Anti held me close while Dark pulled his phone from his pocket.
He raised an eyebrow before pulling the phone to his ear. "Hello?.."

Dark's POV
"Hello Dark.. lovely evening isn't it?"
My heart almost stopped beating. I took in a deep breath trying to identify the voice speaking to me.
It was all too familiar but yet it seemed like I didn't know it at all.
"Who is this? And how do you know my name?"

"Ohh Darkypoo.. I know a lot about you and that little girl, Y/N... sitting in Anti's lap."

I froze completely before looking over to Anti. He mouthed the words, 'who is it?'
I shrugged, not being able to recognize the voice that belonged to whoever was talking to me. How'd he know the girls name and that she was on Anti's lap?

"You should know who I am Dark.. we've had a strong history."

I started to grow pissed and just hung up on whoever the person was. I wanted to throw my phone against the wall so badly but just took a breath.
I felt a small hand rest on my forearm making me look down and see Y/N looking at me with a worried expression.

"Are you okay Dark?" Anti suddenly said making me look up at him. I nodded before moving Y/N onto my lap.
"Some weird guy called saying he knew me and Y/N, and how he and I had a strong history."
Anti raised an eyebrow.
"Do you think it might've been another ego?"
I sighed as Y/N started to cuddle into my chest.
Anti reached over and placed a blanket over her.
"Maybe, cause the other egos are the only people I've ever known for a very long time."
Anti stood up and walked out of the room into the kitchen.
I sighed as I looked down at the now sleeping Y/N.

"Dark.. it's gonna be okay. Y/N will be safe." Anti said before he took a swig of his beer. He knew exactly what I was thinking even though he couldn't read minds.
I felt as if I wanted to protect Y/N even if she wasn't my daughter.
Anti rubbed his hand in a circle on my back to help keep me calm.
I then took a moment to think about the call I had just gotten. There were only about two or three egos strong enough to go against me or even threaten me like that.
I then stood up and walked to my room, placing Y/N on the bed to go to sleep peacefully. I placed the blanket on her before turning off the lights and leaving the door slightly open.

"Anti I'm going out for a few hours, maybe 3 max okay? Call if anything happens."

"Wait Da-" I slammed the door shut, immediately heading to the car and starting the ignition.

I'm finding you, whoever you are and when I do...
