POV- Killer (Unknown): before the girl drowned

I watch her from a distance as she walks around doing small chat until she finally goes to get another drink. The group of people that I hide in helps disgust the fact that I'm only here for her. They all talk around me about the stupid shit that's been going on since the last party they went to. I couldn't care less who hooked up with who or what Maryanne is doing now.

This is so annoying watching her walk around and socialize with everyone but me! Why can't she just look at me, talk to me! Doesn't she understand what I would do for her? What lengths I would go just for her? It has always just been about her since the beginning!

All I get is just that small encounter with her. Dammit just talk to me, Alex!

But then that's all it took was a second for me to take my eyes off her to give a meaningless response to someone and she has bumped into a very drunk girl. The girl's annoying squeaky voice reaching new levels as Alex tried her best to calm her down.

Not long after I found myself with the annoying little banshee herself. She had practically forgotten the incident had happened before she was dancing.

"Hey, do you want to go do something fun", I asked her when she locked eyes with me.

"Duh! I'm all about having some fun", she shrieked as she practically jumped up and down in one spot.

"Great! Let me see your hand I'll lead you to the place."

And just like that, I knew how to make it up to Alex and get her attention. I lead the girl down a path in the woods and to a part of the river that was relatively calmer than the rest.

"Why don't you take your shoes off I would hate to see your expensive Louis Vuitton heels get ruined from the water."

"Okay good point", she said while giggling and struggling to get her shoes off which resulted in her falling to the hard-rocky ground with a thud. "I'm okay!"

I took my shoes off and set them neatly on a rock along with my socks. I made my way to the river's edge. Reaching out my hand for her to take, I clasped it around hers and lead her to the cool and welcoming water that was waiting for her. I doubt she comprehended what happened next after I lead her further to the center where it starts to get deeper. I pulled her closer and rested both hands on her shoulders then began to push her under the water that now looked black from the night sky that was above us. She struggled at first, trying to push me away or my arms off but I held on enough to make sure she couldn't get me off but not so much that I left marks on her that could tip someone off that she was held under.

It seemed like forever until her weak attempts to push me off of her ceased. Her arms went limp and bobbed with the water as it flowed past us downstream. I let go of her now lifeless body and watched as it glided down the river.

I wouldn't have too much longer until her body gets discovered by everyone at the party. I trudged out of the dark river to the shore where my shoes were waiting for me.  I put them back on and move through the forest to get to the part of the clearing where the vehicles were so I could change my clothes. Luckily I had put some extra clothes in my back seat.

Author's Note

Hi everyone!

I'm sorry this chapter is shorter than normal and late. I was aiming to update it last week but my computer didn't save the file with the new story so I had to re-write it from memory.

What does everyone think of this new POV? I was trying to see what it would have been like from the killer's point and how they would think and interact with people. I will probably re-write this chapter at some point when I have a break from my studies.

Until next time, hope everyone has a great day/night!
