Teresa's pov
I think I sat on the bed for a while so I could get the strength that I am going to need to fulfil the task that I was set out to do. I don't think I own any pants but I know Mal ... I mean Sandra has a few that she bought in case of emergencies. I finally got what she meant. I went towards the cabinet in the hallway and retrieved the bag with the clothes. I thought about having a bath but I know I didn't have time for that with Elijah downstairs waiting on me. I removed my clothes and slipped on the sweatpants along with a t-shirt. A converse was wrapped in another bag and placed beneath the clothes I took it out and put it on. I heard a foot step in the hall but I brushed it off as Elijah surveying the area. I was placing the other suit of clothes in my knapsack when the door burst open and a man dressed in all black attire entered carrying a gun. I ducked and shouted for Elijah. If I thought Elijah was pranking me earlier all thought of that was lost never to return.
The man was moving towards me when Elijah came into the room. The man spun around just as Elijah charged towards him. They went flying into the wall and the gun fell. I got my things and was about to go out the door when I saw another figure. I grabbed the gun that fell and went into the bathroom leaving Elijah to defend himself. The first gun shot rang and I pointed the gun at the door incase Elijah didn't survive and I was left by myself to fight my way through this awful nightmare. I don't plan on going willingly that's for sure. I heard a muffled groan and then the door handle rattled and burst open with a resounding kick. Someone came through the door without observing all I knew was that I began to shoot. When I looked up after realizing that I was not hearing anything Elijah stood there looking at me with sympathy. "First of all sweet cheeks the safety needs to come off. Second of all give me that guns aren't for kids they are dangerous you know you might harm someone, .... NOT."
He laughed and grabbed me and we head downstairs and through the door. We took the alley to avoid the main road and went towards the bridge. Instead of going on the bridge we took a small path leading below towards the water. We trod across rocks and towards the back of a convenience store.
"We are going to need a few stuff from here, Am going inside please be attentive." With that he turned his back broke the glass and went inside keeping his head down. I was standing there when a car sped by and was heading towards the bend when the headlight caught me and I fell towards the ground and rolled to the nearest trashcan. It continued on its way and just as I was about stand up again it suddenly drew brakes and was heading towards me. I dashed in the convenience store to find Elijah. He was leaning against the counter stretching over for bandages and a sewing kit. I ran towards him and dragged him down just as I heard a car door slam and headlights flashed on into the store.
I made out the silhouettes of four men. They stopped to converse for a second and then two of them disappeared. I turned towards Elijah who was looking me dead in the eyes. "I can't leave you for one second now can I?" He thrust a few items at me to place in my bag when the hooded figures entered the store crouching. As we were crawling towards the back entrance the other two men entered. I began to have a panic attack.
"This is definitely not the time for a panic attack Teresa so you better get your shit together so I can get out of here alive." He whispered harshly. "You, What about me?" I inquired. "You're getting out of here alive regardless of who carry's you. So am kind of busy worrying about me thank you very much."
