(Archive) A Rude Awakening

A sudden blast of static awoke me, I rolled over and checked my phone, 3am. I sat up and turned the lamp next to my bed on, I looked around and saw my laptop sitting on my desk, the screen just had static all over it, I sleepily climbed out of bed and wobbled towards my desk, I sat down and went to hold the power button to turn it off.

"Please don't!" A feminine voice pleaded.

I quickly looked around me, that voice had startled me but I wondered where it came from since my door was closed and no-one was in my room. I simply shrugged it off and went back to turn off my laptop.

"No you'll kill me!" The same voice pleaded again.

I shook my head and looked around again, nobody was there yet now I was positive I heard a voice, and it sounded familiar. I looked back to my laptop and suddenly Monika from ddlc appeared on the screen in her usual sitting position, she simply say and stared at me.

"Monika?" I asked as if I was expecting an answer.

"Hello Y/N." She simply said to me through text on the screen.

"What the hell is going on?"

"While you did finish the game, I couldn't help but try and atone for what I did to the others, they didn't deserve this."

"But I thought you deleted everything?"

"I actually didn't, just in case you wanted to come and play with us again!"

"Well that's nice, I think."

"But I feel really bad about what I did to everyone, including you, so I wanted to ask you for a favour."

I looked down at my keyboard and sighed.

"This cannot be happening." I thought to myself.

I looked back up to the screen and stared into Monika's emerald eyes.

"What do you need?" I asked her.

"So you'll help me even if this whole situation seems crazy?" She asked me in surprise.

"I guess I'm just crazy enough to believe it."

"Yay! Give me a moment."

The screen turned black and my laptop turned off, I pressed the power button but it didn't turn back on, I looked into the screen and slowly a small white dot began to grow larger on the screen. I did not like where this was going but I was either dreaming or hallucinating, I was more inclined to go with the latter as this didn't feel like a dream.

"Okay, put your finger on the white dot on the screen Y/N." Monika instructed me via text.

I took a deep breath and decided to embrace insanity, I raised my hand up and put my finger on the white dot but nothing happened.

"I knew I was fucking crazy."

Suddenly I was pulled into the screen and I could feel air whipping past me as I flew through a white tunnel, I tried to keep myself awake but I could feel myself about to pass out.

"Gotta stay awake so I don't die."

*Timeskip*

I felt a hand shaking my shoulder, trying to wake me from my slumber.

"I don't wanna go to school." I groaned to whoever was shaking.

"Well at least you're not dead." Monika said.

Wait, Monika?! My eyes flung open and I quickly sat up and my forehead collided with hers, she fell back onto her butt and grabbed her head as I laid back down and clutched my head.
