Missing

Chapter Seven

For two years, Courtney endured the physical and sexual abuse at the hands of Trevor and Kyle. Over the course of the months, Courtney was extremely close to Kyle and began falling in love with him. Kyle would sneak up to Courtney's room and lay in the bed with her to talk for hours or do other things while Trevor was gone. One day Courtney got up in the morning and puked in the toilet while she was showering and then she took a pregnancy test and found out she was pregnant which she started to cry. Kyle came up to the room to see Courtney crying in the bathroom.
"Are you okay?" Kyle asked.
"No I'm pregnant." Courtney said.
"What!!" Kyle said.
"I don't know what to do." Courtney said.
"Do not tell Trevor he'll freak out and hurt you." Kyle said.
"How can I hide this?" Courtney asked.
"We can escape together." Kyle said.
"Right now?" Courtney asked.
"Yes get some stuff together while I get some stuff and money." Kyle said.
Then they got stuff together and went outside which was Courtney's first time in two years and she started crying again. Then they got in the car and hurried up and left to start driving away from Quinton.
"Where are we going?" Courtney asked.
"I don't know." Kyle said.
"Can I go home?" Courtney asked.
"Will you have me arrested?" Kyle asked.
"No I would never I love you so much." Courtney said.
"I love you too." Kyle said.
"Do you think Trevor knows we're gone yet?" Courtney asked.
"No he would have called me by now freaking out." Kyle said.
"I don't want him to ever find me or you." Courtney said.
"He won't I promise." Kyle said.
"Good because I want our baby to have a good life." Courtney said.
"I know baby." Kyle said.
Then Kyle leaned in and kissed Courtney while they were at the gas station getting gas. Then they got back onto the road and drove the rest of the way back to Courtney's hometown where they went to her house. Then Courtney got out of the car and walked up to the house and knocked.
"Mom?" Courtney asked as the door opened.
"Oh my god Courtney." Melissa said as she hugged her.
"I love you." Courtney said.
"I love you too." Melissa said.
"I am so sorry." Courtney said as she started crying.
"It is okay but could I take you to the hospital because I need to have them examine you so we can catch the guy who took you." Melissa said.
"Okay but can he come with us because I don't want to go without him?" Courtney asked.
"Who is that?" Melissa asked as Kyle got out of the car.
"His name is Kyle and he's the one that helped me get away." Courtney said.
"Fine lets go." Melissa said.
Then they all got in the car and drove down to the hospital where they sat for a couple of hours while Courtney did a rape kit and then once she was done they let her rest with Kyle by her side while the doctors talked with Melissa.
"So what did you find?" Melissa asked.
"She has been repeatedly raped and old wounds are on her body like bite marks and she also seems to be pregnant." Doctor Gray said.
"How far along?" Melissa asked.
"Two months." Doctor Gray said.
"Okay thank you." Melissa said as the doctor walked away.
"Hey I got here as fast as I could but how is she?" Grayson asked.
"I just talked to the doctor and she has been sexually abused for the last two years and is pregnant." Melissa said as she started crying.
"God when can I see her?" Grayson asked.
"We can go now if you want but you need to be aware that she might not be the same person anymore." Melissa said.
"I know I just hope she is okay though." Grayson said.
"I am hoping that too." Melissa said.
Then they went to Courtney's room and walked in to see her talking to Kyle while they held hands and then Grayson knocked on the door.
"Can I come in?" Grayson asked.
"Grayson." Courtney said as she stood up.
"I missed you." Grayson said.
"I did too." Courtney said.
"Who is this?" Grayson asked.
"My name is Kyle." Kyle said.
"He was the one who saved me." Courtney said.
"Thank you." Grayson said.
"It was no problem." Kyle said.
