Chapter 16: Bloodshed

9:15 P.M

Blake's P.O.V

My head is...pounding...what's going on? Where am I? My eyes slowly slid open and I saw that I was lying on my back in the middle of a warehouse...i looked to my left and saw ruby laying next to me unconscious.

I sat up and clutched my still hurting head and crawled to ruby's side..i began shaking her causing her to slowly stir awake.

Her eyes shot open and she frantically looked around, panic in her expression and eyes darting around the room.

Ruby: "Blake? What are you doing here? Where are we-

I put a hand on the girl's mouth and put a finger against my lip..ruby quickly quieted down but was still panicking.

Ruby: *Whispering* "Where are we?"

Me: "I don't know...sun and neptune has us in some kind of warehouse..."

Ruby: "Why did they bring us in a warehouse?"

Me: "Because...jonathan w-wants me dead..."

Ruby's eyes widened, she inched closer to me and looked at me in concern.

Ruby: "W-why does jonathan want to kill you?"

Me: "....After the truth came out about hanzo's supposed death...jonathan assumed that i had something to do with the entire school finding out..so he sent sun and neptune after me..."

Ruby looked down and sighed, she looked back up at me with a disappointed look.

Ruby: "...Why would you cheat on Hanzo? H-he gave you everything!"

Me: "Because It wasn't my choice!"

Ruby looked at me In shock, I then saw her expression and looked away.

Ruby: "What do you mean it wasn't your choice? We always have a choice!"

Me: "....Because jonathan hates hanzo for some reason...so he came up with this elaborate plan to ruin hanzo's life...he wanted to get me involved but I said no..of course this didn't sit well with him...so he went into some records and found out about my past with the white fang...and he began blackmailing me..forcing me to sleep with Jake behind hanzo's back...he also threatened to hurt me and hanzo as well..knowing well that hanzo could barely protect himself...i couldn't let that happen..i couldn't just let hanzo get hurt because of me..."

Ruby looked on, clearly overwhelmed by what I told her, she just sat there and stared at me in silence..i sighed heavily and felt tears begining to build up in my eyes.

Ruby: "But why? Why didn't you tell anyone? Why didn't you tell me?"

Blake: "I was scared! *Sniff* I'm always scared...i thought that i could handle it myself...i didn't want anyone getting caught in the middle of this..*Sniff* I-i didn't want anyone getting hurt because of me...i didn't want this!...any of this! I-im so sorry ruby...i..I'm a horrible friend..and a horrible teammate!!"
