Chapter 14

I'm sitting down on the edge of Hayes' bed in my apartment. We are already going back to New York but he got cold so he is still staying at my place for a while before moving all his stuff here.

"Here, I got you chicken soup." I smile at him and give him the cup.

"I hate cold but I'm happy that you're here taking care of me." Hayes smiles back at me and eat the soup.

"You caught Luke's cold." I chuckle.

"Yeah but at least that happened when we got back to New York." Hayes chuckles.

"Mommy..." Luke walks in and hugs me from behind.

"Yes, what is it?" I turn my face at him and rub his head.

Luke sits down on my lap and looks at Hayes. "Nose dripping." Luke laughs and points at Hayes' nose.

"Come here." Hayes chuckles and tickles Luke.

Luke laughs as Hayes is tickling him. I smile and look at them then turn my face away a bit until I see Jason is smiling watching them. I know he likes Hayes.

"Mommy!!!" Lily runs in and gets into the bed. "Hi.." She smiles at Hayes and gets on top of him and lays down on his chest.

"Hi, baby girl." Hayes smiles at her and rubs her back.

Luke lays down next to him and cuddling him. "Okay take a rest now." I take the soup cup and walk away from the guest room.

I can see that the kids and Hayes are totally bonding. They're like father and kids. Hayes can put his position in the middle of them.

Lily can be super jealous when Hayes holds my hand or kisses me. Like what she usually did when Jason was around. Even Luke accidentally called Hayes "daddy" many times. They love him already.

I can see that Hayes is the real father figure out of three of them. Sam was cool, fun father but he loved Lily more than Luke, I can see that clearly. And Cooper, was fun uncle. That's what they said to me. Cooper can't handle things when they both start fighting over something. But Hayes can. He can tell them to stop and he stands in the middle not in one side. He got worried when Luke was sick yet he also did the same thing with Lily. He loved them both equally and the way he treats the kids is like the way Jason treated them.

I know I need to stop comparing. Hayes has experience to be a father even it was just for a short time but still, he has his inner father inside of him. And he show it off when he is around the kids. Not only around them but when he is with me only, he worried about them and missing them.

"So? Marry him."

I turn my face and shocked. "Too soon. We're just going out for a week." I shake my head and wash the dishes.

"But the kids and you need someone like him. I know that he is going to take my place in this house and I watched him how he treats the kids. He is a father without a kid. And you are a wife without a husband. For once in your life, think about the future especially for our two little angels." Jason says to me.

I sigh and look down. I turn my face and Jason is already gone. Yeah he lives inside me. He knows what's inside my mind. But I don't know, I want to be with Hayes and I'm with him now but I think marry him is just too soon.

I wash my hands and walks back to the guest room. I don't hear any noise. I open the door slowly and three of them are asleep together and cuddling together.

I smile and pull the blanket to cover up their body. I rub their heads one by one and kiss their foreheads one by one. I turn off the lights and walk out from the room. How sweet was that.
