Chapter 5: We pulled apart after what seemed like hours. I smiled as his soft lips still lingered on mine. He sat back on his heels as a smile came across his face and he ran his hand through his hair.
We sat there for a few moments piecing together what just happened and smiling like madmen when I popped the question that has been bothering me ever since I met him. "How old are you?"
He scratched to back of his head. "Um... I'm 23..."
I was taken aback by his age. "Oh... Well, about the rogue thing... Do I still have to be interrigated?"
He laugh and shook his head. "No I'll let it slide this time." He pointed his finger at me." But no more running away. I wasn't joking when I said I would put you on a leash."
"Okay."
He smiled but it soon turned to a frown as he looked behind me and into the clearing. His eyes darkened."Nicolas."
I cocked my head. "Nicolas?"
Christian stood up before looking down at me. "Stay right here, and be quiet."
I nodded my head in agreement and watched as he walked away from me and into the clearing. In the clearing stood a middle-aged man who looked furious as he stared down at one of his dead pack members on the ground. One look at Christian and He stomped his way over to meet christian halfway. "How dare you kill one of my pack members on MY territory!"
Christian stood there, unphased by Nicolas' actions, he looked at him.
"You know the consequences for killing one of my-" Nicolas continued.
"-He was going to kill my mate, He had mistaken her for a rogue and he wouldnt back down, even when I had arrived." Christian said.
Nicolas seemed taken aback. "Mate? You never told me you had a mate..." He looked into space as if in deep thought. He clapped his hands together and a smile came across is face. "Oh you must let me meet her!" he exclaimed.
"Maybe another time Nicolas, she has had a very long day. I think it would be best if she went home and rested." Christian said.
Nicolas nodded in understanding. "Maybe another time then." He. said with dissapointment clear in his voice.
Why was he so eager to meet me? I'm not that special. He was just yelling at Christian as if they were going to throw down and now he was all cheery and excited to meet me, his mate. The girl who pretty much got one of his pack members killed. I shook my head, I'm seriously starting to think a lot of people are biopolar around here.
Christian and Nicolas parted ways and he headed over towards me. "Do you need help walking?" He said extending his arm out towards me. I looked up at his hand, why would he do this for me? Yeah, I know he's my mate and all but why be so kind when deep down somewhere in that head of his he despises rogues. I took his hand and he gradually lifted me up and held on to me while I tried to walk on my leg. God, I'm getting injured every single day now, that's a record! I attempted to put wieght on my leg but the pain was too excruciating that I bit my bottom lip from crying out.
"Yeah, I don't think you can walk on it. I'm going to have to Carry you." He said seriously but I could swear I saw a smirk faintly playing on his lips.
