I was speeding and luckily there were no cops. That is when I saw the car. I did not know what to do. They were speeding like me, only on my tail. I panicked because it all made sense. I do not know how the realization hit me, or really why, but I was beyond terrified.

I trusted this person, I even confided in this person. How could someone betray you like this. I knew they were connected to Lily. I just did not know how yet. After all they were family.

I started turning like crazy and speeding even faster, but the car did not let up. I could not call the cops because they would never believe me without proof. I had to figure this out on my own.

I hit a dead-end road and the person would not let up. I decided to go into a strangers driveway, they followed me. I could not see into the car because the car has tinted windows. They did not go into the driveway like I did, but they watched me.

There was a lady standing on the porch upon me getting out of my car. I acted like I knew this person and I pleaded that they play along because I was being followed. The woman looked at me and the car and she did the one thing I did not expect.

"You can come on in," she led me into her house, "would you like a glass of tea?" Her house was beautiful.

"Sure, I will take some, what is your name?" I figured I would ask the nice lady who saved me from who knows what.

"Janet," was all she said. She started moving around her kitchen and I just remained standing because I do not even know this woman, yet I am so grateful to her.

"Well, Janet, thank you so much for helping me. I did not know what to do and I was starting to freak out. I know I am a total stranger, but I can not thank you enough," Janet smiled a warm smile and told me it was no problem. Janet gave me my drink and we went to the living room. I did not even check to see if the car was still there, I just wanted to wait a little bit to be sure.

"So, why was someone following you, if you do not mind me asking," I took a deep breath and decided I needed to say it out loud.

"I think my best friend is trying to kill me and she might be plotting with my stepmother, but I don't know how they are connected yet," why was I telling a strange woman I just met about this?

She whistled and set her glass down, "that's a pretty hefty accusation, I hope you figure it out. Until you feel safe to leave, you may make yourself comfortable here," Janet went back into the kitchen and I felt twenty minutes was long enough to wait for a stalker to be gone.

I got up and went to leave and I gave Janet a hug and thanked her kindly for helping me. I think if the car had not been suspicious Janet would not have let a stranger into her home.
