Mel

I wasn't sure what time I woke up, because I didn't have a watch on me.

It didn't matter.

I looked around me quickly. The room was the same as it was when I came in, but...there was an imprint on one of the cushions on the small couch. I remembered curling up on it and vowing that I wouldn't approach the bed if it killed me.

So why was I nestled under the sheets like I had slept there all night?

I yawned. It was too early in the morning to think about that kind of thing. I snuggled down into the covers, determined to go back to sleep.

But I couldn't. No matter how much I tried, my body just wouldn't settle down. It was then that I realised I needed to pee.

Desperately.

Finally, I got up to go and search for the toilet.
Puck had shown me it last night, but I couldn't remember where it was.

I opened a small door and glanced inside.

Nope, not that one. Unless I wanted to take a shit in the storage closet.

The house was eerily silent. The boys were probably all asleep, the lazy creatures.

Wait...

I stopped, a moment of realisation dawning over me as my pulse picked up.

They were all asleep. So they wouldn't know if I took a walk...and never came back.

This was my chance. All I needed to do was come up with a plan. My escape had to be something the kidnappers wouldn't expect.

That was the only way I could be sure my escape route wasn't locked or booby-trapped since I had no idea what they had gotten up to after Mr Robber Guy locked me in for the night.

I paused next to the doorway of a room, contemplating whether I should leave them a parting gift.

The door was slightly ajar, causing me to still when I caught a flicker of movement that prompted me to ease the door further open.

Standing in the doorway, an unforgettable sight met my eyes.

I stopped dead.
