I am so nervous. Jack is taking me to meet his friends and I'm so not prepared. It's not like I'm meeting his parents yet but his friends are just as important. I just hope they like me. I've heard so much about them and I can't wait to meet them for the first time.
Right now, we are driving over to his friend Sammy's house. J said his friends are all there and are excited to meet me. Dating Johnson for four months, I'm still not prepared.
I'm tapping my fingers on my thigh to calm myself when Johnson grabs one of my hands and brings it to his lips. He gives me a soft sweet kiss on my hand, sending tingles through it and smiles at me.
"Baby, it's okay. They'll love you." He says sweetly.
I smile and nod. His smile melts me and I'm unable to speak any words. I cannot comprehend how amazing he makes me feel.
The rest of the ride to Sammy's, Johnson holds my hand reassuringly. When we do get there however, all my anxiousness returns. We both get out of the vehicle and walk up to the nice house. Johnson grabs my hand again.
"This is it baby. Just relax. Be yourself. They'll love you." He beams.
A blush crosses my cheeks and I nod. He rings the door bell and we hear footsteps walking to the door. When the door opens, it reveals a tall muscular figure. He has a toothy grin and his cropped hair is dark brown with blondish streaks. His chocolate brown eyes light up when he sees me.
"Hey! You must be Johnson's girl. This guy doesn't shut up about you." He muses.
I smile and turn to look at Johnson. He lightly shoves his friend and smiles. I look back at the guy. So far, he's nice.
"I'm Sammy Wilkinson. Nice to meet you." He says. I shake his hand.
"I'm Y/N Y/L/N."I introduce myself.
Then, we walk inside and through the house to a back yard. I see a lot of people and shake my nerves away as we make our way to everybody.
"Everybody! This is Johnson's girl, Y/N." Sammy announces and I smile and give a small wave.
Most of them wave back and go back to what they were doing. Johnson gives my hand a tug and pulls me along to a group of people by the pool.
"What's up J? Is this the girl?" One of them asks. He has brown eyes and a curly bob of hair. His energy gives me a good vibe and I immediately decide I like him. He seems really friendly.
"Yeah, this is Y/N." Johnson says.
"Hi." I smile.
"Hey. I'm Skeez. The best of the best." He says happily. Just when I shake his hand, another guys slaps him upside the head.
"Don't listen to him. He's clearly delusional." A guys scoffs playfully. Johnson chuckles beside me and shakes his head at their antics.
"Big Mike, looking bigger than ever."Johnson says, giving him a bro shake.
He has slightly curly hair too but not as curly as Skeez's. His hair is kind of like a caramel colour. So far, I like him too. Johnson has told me so much about Big Mike and I really like how he presents himself.
"Where's G?" Johnson asks the guys. They point inside and Johnson tells me he'll be right back before going in.
"I'm Rupp." Another says. All four of us engage in conversation and so far, they're all really nice and open. I'm laughing at something Skeez says when Johnson calls me. I turn around and see him walking towards me with a big smile. Beside him is a tall, built figure. He's kind of tan and has a big smile, his eyebrows are unruly and his brown eyes are filled with a gleam. From all the pictures and how much J talks about him, I know that this is Jack Gilinsky, his best friend.
"Baby, this is my best friend G. G, this is Y/N." J says happily.
I smile immediately and instead of going for a handshake, we have an unspoken agreement for a hug. After we pull away, they both have this happy smile on their faces.
"Hi. I've been waiting to meet you for so long." I say.
Johnson hugs me by my shoulders and seems genuinely at peace.
"Me too! J never stops blabbering about you. It's so great to meet the girl that makes my best friend happy." G says.
"Shut up." Johnson rolls his eyes playfully. Johnson turns me around and we walk towards the other side of the pool to a couple other people. I notice a girl and she's super pretty. That must be Stassie. From what J told me, is that she's super nice and that we'd connect right away.
"This is Y/N." J said when we approach them. Stassie comes up to me first and suddenly, I'm nervous.
"Hi. I'm Stassie." She greets. She has this beautiful smile and I'm intimidated by how pretty and nice she is.
"H-hi." I squeak. I mentally face palm at my stupidity. She gives me an even bigger smile.
The next ten minutes seem to fly by as I talk to Stassie, Andre and Ryland. I'm so happy that all his friends seem to be genuinely nice and welcoming. Stassie already invited me to her house for a girls night with her and some other friends. I don't know what I was so nervous for, they're all great. I was in the middle of talking to G, Sammy and Skeez inside when Johnson came up to me and hugged me from behind.
"There you are," He murmured. "I've been looking for you. You're really hitting it off with my friends."
I nodded. "I love them! They're so nice I don't know how I couldn't have met them before today."
I turned around to face J. His hands were on my waist and my arms were around his neck. I looked into his perfect blue eyes and leaned in to kiss him.
"Get a room." G teased.
Johnson ignored him with a head shake and kissed me. Like all the millions of times I kissed him, a fire ignited me. Butterflies erupted in my stomach and I smiled against his lips in bliss.
Today was amazing and his friends mean so much to him. I really admire that. Their positivity and kindness radiated off of them just like how happiness radiates off Johnson. He can make a whole room glow with his smile and personality. I am so lucky to have found him.
