The windows from a few of the rooms were starting to get smashed open in the hallways, and he knew he had to do something.
John had two choices, he could either leave right now and escape with Linda, or try and kill all the zombies and vampires in this hospital.
A few things were standing in the way of him completing the first option, and it was the hundreds of zombies and vampires in the building. If only he had a weapon, perhaps he'd be able to do something about this massacre.
'Wait... If I remember correctly, wasn't there a weapons shop....'
John looked down at the karmic marking on his skin and touched it twice. When he did, a dialog box appeared on the screen floating in front of him.

John gasped as he saw the price of the last two items, and couldn't even imagine what the other 59 pages held. He purchased the blacksteel sword for 1000 Karma, and choose to refrain from buying the lightning knuckles.
If I want to be able to defeat zombies, it's better to keep my distance. If I bought the lightning knuckles, I would've done more damage, but have been at risk for a bite mark from the zombies. I also still don't know if the lightning knuckles will break or be upgradeable. For now, I think I'm happy with my choice.

John didn't hesitate and selected yes before a sword seemed to pop out of his arm.
He grasped it in his fist, finding the sword almost intoxicating to touch as he looked down at Linda's side.
Her eyes were closed, and she seemed relatively safe in the lobby compared to the people running through the halls. In his mind, he imagined that there had to be at least one doctor here who'd also received the mark.
First, he had to make sure that there was somewhere safe to keep Linda, and then he could try and protect the hospital.
The zombies that he'd seen had only been going after people who were moving, including the few that were currently chasing after nurses.
