Hi, with the power of nice encouraging comments to continue writing I'm finally doing that - continuing writing. I hope not everybody has forgotten about this story (but honestly, would I mind? Probably not too much because I'm not online on this anymore 😩😩) I'm just not a kpop fan anymore, I got an actual life now... I love writing just as much as I did before though, so here you go! Thank you to all the amazing people that sent nice comments, you're my heroes 🥺💞
.but still, jisung had enough of it.
when felix's and changbin's dates took place more frequently, felix had even more time to cover with his ranting about them. though jisung had been so sure that the two would start properly dating soon, as boyfriend and boyfriend, it looked like that was still far away. they walked around with linked arms, sometimes even hands, yes, but both of them were really too shy to put it into words and to get over themselves to ask the other out. at least felix was, for all jisung knew, and changbin hadn't made another move either.
additionally to that, jisung yet still didn't have a soulmate, didn't get to see minho in all that time and all the usual stuff.
obviously, the main reason why he had enough of them was that they had each other, but jisung had no soulmate...
no minho.he felt like he had reached a very low point in life. he was just plainly very, very, ridiculously lonely.
"jisung, are you okay recently?", his friend hyunjin asked as they were hanging out at jisung's place together.
"yeah I'm good," he replied, lying blatantly. "it's just...-" he broke off "nothing, really. just love stuff I guess." he catched one of his red ears in his hand and tried playing it cool.
"it's about soulmates, isn't it?," said felix. jisung gave a minimal nod after a few seconds of consideration. He decided that he didn't really want to hide anything from his best friends since they never did that.
"really sung, "it's nothing?" of course it's something! to be honest", he immediately began to ramble "I was thinking it could have something to do with me.. and changbin. You seemed to get more distant since I found my soulmate..." his puppy eyes looked sad and jisung was surprised that his friends seemingly had noticed that much.
"oh", he said. He looked down at his lap. Today, the three of them finally hung out all alone again, without any love interests at their sides. Before starting this conversation, they were just talking about the world, playing video games and just spending the time together.
"what's wrong?", hyunjin asked once again. He sat on the same couch as jisung, their legs were touching, while felix switched between sitting in front of them on the floor and sitting on another, smaller couch. Jisungs living room was rather tiny, but comfortable. Soft beats were playing in the background.
Jisung sighed and began speaking: "it's just that... i constantly have this fear that I won't find my soulmate." he looked up "ever. Or worse, I don't even have one! that the universe, the system, for whatever illogical reason just forgot me." there was a small pause "and then.... there's minho, you know?"
"yeah, we were starting to notice" the tallest whispered, but jisung didn't mind.
"i just... really kinda like him. Did you know that he lost his soulmate? That they died?" the two quietly shook their heads. They were shocked and sorry for minho.
"jisung... there's still so much hope for you. So many people haven't found their soulmates in our ages. we're literally all just seventeen! hyunjin didn't find his yet either! and i met changbin just like, yesterday.", felix said. "you're just focusing on the bad things a little bit too much. I won't say it's ridiculous because it really isn't. It's normal to sometimes think like that, right?" hyunjin nodded encouragingly. "i do that too. but my soulmate's out there, and so is yours." he gave jisung a warm smile. jisung returned it. "I know, it's just..." he huffed "no, there's no way to explain it. it's just confusing feelings."
"i know, we get that." felix patted his shoulder and sat on the couch's armrest. "especially with your crush on minho. that's like really frustrating. and to be honest, i think minho would really deserve that love.", he said.
Jisung knew that they didn't even know minho, but he had told them about him till now and they had always really enjoyed jisungs smitten talks.
Hyunjin took his hand and held it lightly." we're here if you wanna talk. Always. You know that, right?" jisung chuckled and squeezed his hand. "yeah, of course. thank you guys.. i literally love you. like, really, thanks" and they buried him in a group hug.
"and felix, don't worry about changbin and you. you're really sweet together." felix looked at him with warm, thankful eyes.
"yeah, I agree with you, jisung.", the tallest said. "changbin is indeed really sweet. I'd steal him if it wasn't for the soulmate system."
jisung just laughed at the australian's fearful squeaking and how he jumped onto hyunjin and his two best friends rolled around on the floor just a moment later. everything was perfect at this moment. he would always have his friends, and they would always have him. they knew that for a fact.
he was more than thankful for them . they encouraged him and didn't call his worries ridiculous. felix and hyunjin were there for him, when he needed them. no questions asked.

Who would love to have friends like them raise your hands (*raises both hands* 🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️)Some things might seem a bit off, I'm constantly distracted by this mosquito in my room while I'm writing this....
If some things from the story don't match, I'm really sorry. (the same goes for future updates) I don't remember every detail.
Hope you enjoyed it, goodbye! <3
