Walking up to Amanda's desk I ask her, what's her plans tonight.

Packing up her desk, she grabs her purse and stands up.

"I was thinking about going to this small bar down the road for a few drinks. Want to come?" she askes me getting excited.

I'm kinda tired but honestly with Unknowns harrassment, I could use a little fun.

"Sure I'm-" before i can even finish what i was going to say, she is jumping up and down and linking her arm with mine she pulls me to the elevator.

Laughing at her excitement I follow her.

5 minutes later we talk inside Ruby's.

A small red bar, that I'll admit look's pretty decent.

Walking to the bar with our arms linked together we sit down.

Turning to me she askes me what kind of drink i want.

Looking at the menu the bartender lays out in front of me, I look through the options.

"I think I'll have a class a red wine" i tell the man behind the bar.

"Girl. That's boring" She says as she shakes her head and orders a martini.

Well I'm not looking to get wasted tonight so I'll stick with the wine.

"So tell me about your life" she says as we wait for the bartender to bring us our drinks.

Leaning against the bar I start to tell her a few thing's about me.

"Well i have a cat, his name is poohbear"

"I hate cats, i rather dog's honestly" she says

"Well.. some people people are more of a dog person and some are cat people so I totally understood"

"I had a dog, he passed away two years ago. I never want another one. I can't replace him"

"My poohbear is about four years old right now, so he has a few more years left in him"

"Good. Where did you go to college?"

"I went to Oakwoods university, in South Carolina"

"Ohh, is that where you came from before moving to New York?"

Nodding my head as i hear my phone go off, i take it out my purse and check my message.

Claiborne- You made it home?

Now why would he be asking me this, at the office all he does is snap at me but when i leave he decides to have a normal conversation?

Nudging my shoulder Amanda askes who texted me.

"Claiborne"

"What did he say?" her eyes widen

Showing her the message i let her read it.

"Why would he care, if you made it home? He never asked me that before..."

Shrugging my shoulder's I reply back.

Me- No. Amanda asked me to get a couple of drink's with her.

"I'm going to the bathroom real quick" she says before hoping off the stool and heading to the bathroom.

The bartender comes infront of me and places my glass of wine down, thanking him I take a sip while i wait for Claiborne to message back.

Claiborne- What are you drinking?

Taking a picture of my glass of wine I send it to him.

Few seconds later my phone goes off again.

Claiborne- Send me a picture of your pajamas tonight.

What?!... Why would he want to see my pajamas?

Me- Why?👀

Claiborne- I'm curious to see what you pick to wear tonight😉

Wink face... Goodlord.

Me- Maybe 😉

Putting my phone back in my purse when Amanda walks back up we finish talking a bit and drink another drink before we decide to call it a night.

"Thank you for coming out with me" She says while we walk to our cars back at the buildings garage.

"I should be thanking you! My life is so fucked up right now, I needed to have a little fun!" i tell her back as i reach my car.

After giving me a hug goodbye she gets in her car and drives off.

Unlocking my car, I climb in and head home.

Thinking about tomorrow's messed up schedule and if i should send Claiborne a picture of my pajamas when i get home.
