12 ~ Corbyn

When I got back to my cabin for our downtime for today, I called my brother and sister. They told me that being at Camp Stargazers was probably more interesting than what they were doing. I told them all about Lilith. "Wow Corbs. It really sounds like you found yourself a good girl." "You say that like he's even had a girl in the first place." "Wow Jordan. I am quiet offended." "It's the truth." "Shut up." I said as they laughed at me. I talked to them for about 20 more minutes and mm came to tel them that t was time to go. Apparently, they are taking a little trip to Florida with out me. I'm doing something more fun my ass.

"Hey Jack, I'm gonna be gone for a little bit. I gotta set up Lilith and my spot for to night." "That sounds a lot more T.M.I than you think it does but okay." "Really Jack. You're gonna be like that." "yes. I really am gonna e like that." "Fair enough." I grabbed the small book bag I brought and jogged out of the room. As I jogged past Lilith's cabin, I heard yelling from inside. I sped up slightly so I wasn't tempted to peek through the window and see what was going on.

I got up to the top of the hill and I dug through my bag to find the blanket. I laid it out in the same spot as the night before. A I began to dig for the rest of the stuff I needed to set up, I heard a rustling coming from the trees. I quickly zipped up my bag and chucked it behind a tree, making sure that the most important thing was at the bottom of the bag. I was about to turn around when I felt something hard and kind of sharp hit me in the head. Suddenly everything went black.

God only knows how long I was out for. When I finally came to, I was in a dark and small room. I tried to stand up but I had been tied to something. My arms and legs were bound tightly to what I could only guess was a pipe of some kind. "Oh hello, Corbyn." Someone said form the shadows. "What? Who's there?" "You don't recognize my voice? Babe, that is so mean." A dim light turned on and I saw Izzy step out from the shadows. "Izzy! Are you fucking kidding me right now." "I'm happy you are finally awake babe. For a second there, I was loosing hope in the fact that you would ever wake up." "Izzy, this is so fucked up. Let me out of here. Lilith is probably waiting for me right now." "Oh don't worry about her. She is in great hands." "You fucking bitch!" I yelled as I tried to escape form my tight bonding. "There's no use in trying to escape. Tying some one up with knots is one of my specialties." She whispered in my ear. "You're fucking disgusting!" 

Izzy left about 5 minutes later to go "slip into something more revealing".  I tried to work my way out of the knots but it was impossible. I tried to maneuver myself so that I could reach my phone but I quickly realized that she had taken my phone from me. She was probably texting Lilith some half ass breakup text, trying to make it seem like it was really texting her. I couldn't stop thinking about Lilith. I couldn't stop wondering if she was okay. I wouldn't trust Dick to keep a plant alive so needless to say, I was freaking out.

I suddenly began to feel rage rush over me like a wave. I was angry at Izzy for tying me to a pipe in an observatory. I was mad at Dick because he was probably sexually assaulting my girlfriend right now. I was mostly mad at myself. I was mad that I let this happen. I knew I did nothing in the first place, I just felt so much guilt. I felt like, I could have done something differently to make none of this happen.

My thoughts were interrupted by the metal door of the observatory opening. Izzy walked in wearing a dress that was practically nonexistent. It only barely covered her. "Judging by the sounds coming for your little secret hook up spot, I'm not the only Ried who is gonna get some tonight." "You fucking liar!" I spat at her. "Face it Corbyn, she's just not into you. But it's okay, because you and I can be together now." She said slinking over to me. "Ha. Fat chance. I don't go out with possessive bitches who only think about themselves." "Shut up." She said. "No. I'm not done. You were a horrible friend to Lilith. I know she doesn't need me standing up for her because she is a strong woman who can speak for herself. But she is too nice to tell you that you are a fucking bitch who has no respect for anyone or anything else." "Shut up!" "You were lucky to have Lilith because she was the only good and real friend you will ever have in your life." "SHUT UP JONAH!" She yelled. I felt my jaw drop. 

Izzy untied me after that. "Look, your free. Now leave. You can make a grand entrance and save the day like the prince charming Lilith thinks you are." I began to walk out but I stopped myself. I turned around and Izzy was in the corner, crying. I knew I should go to Lilith and help her but something about what happened, just pulled me back to Izzy. "Hey, do you um, wanna talk about what happened?" "No. Now leave." She said, her voice breaking. "Hey, it's okay. You can tell me." "You won't get it." "Yes I will." She pulled her head u and sniffled a little. Finally, after taking a deep breath, she started talking.

"I've like Jonah for as long as I can remember. As a kid, anytime Lilith and I would play school or something, I would always be Mrs. Marais. That's Jonah's last name. I always told her, I'm gonna ask him out one day. Well, that day came freshman year. Homecoming rolled around and I asked him to be my date. He politely declined. He said he already had a date. Maybe another time. Well, I was walking to my next class and I saw him ask Lilith, she said yes. Then they started dating, literally an hour later. I was so mad at her, I decided to be fake to her. And when I figured out she was pregnant, I knew I could get some really good pay back. I called her out in front of the whole school. Jonah moved away and I felt horrible because it felt so good. The when we got here, I saw her creep off to that hill top, shortly followed by you. I went up there myself and over heard your conversation that frost night. That;s why I singled in on you. If I'm being honest, I didn't mean to actually catch feelings for you. But i did. Seeing you with her made me really mad. And so was Dick. This whole thing was actually his whole idea. I didn't want to do this. We made a promise that we couldn't do anything illegal but from the sounds of what's happening up there, I don't think Dick is gonna stick to the rules."

"Shit! Oh my god. Lilith." "Go." Izzy said. "Will you be okay if I do go?" "She took a deep breathe. "Yeah. Actually, I have something I need to do." She stood up and we walked out of the observatory. "I guess you're not a total self indulgent bitch after all." "Thanks Corbyn." I smiled at her. "Now go! I don't want Lilith to get hurt." We both ran off in separate directions. In could only hope I wasn't too late.
