↬ Baby Shower

Jaebum:

You weren't accustomed to the amount of presents you had received during the duration of 5 minutes where almost every person attending had a wrapped gift in hand. You couldn't really describe the mixed feelings bubbling in your head but one thing for certain, you were overwhelmed in a positive way. 

Your husband had left a short while ago when both of your mothers had busied themselves around the house, hanging up decorations and bringing out homemade snacks. The table was cleared for the pile of presents that would soon crowd on the surface and the chairs were tucked in neatly for the guests that would arrive soon. You looked around the perfected room, hands rubbing your belly as you felt the flutters pressing against your palm.

 ''Y/N!'' A familiar voice squealed in delight as you turned to face an excited Y/BF/N. Your eyes widened as she tackled you into a gentle hug with a dorky expression on her face as she rambled on about the gift she had brought. ''Moonji is going to absolutely love the present I brought her. I mean, I am her godmother after all.'' She chuckled. ''Close your eyes Y/N.'' She said with a grin, in which you obliged. 

When you opened your eyes, a small box was in your hands. ''What's this?'' You asked with a smile on your face. ''You'll see,'' She laughed. ''Come on, open it up and see for yourself.'' You lifted up the lid of the box and revealed a shimmery rose gold necklace inside. ''I was planning to get Moonji a necklace with maybe her name letters on but I decided to go with this moon design instead. Cause like, 'Moon' Ji right?'' She teased. You bursted out a fit of giggles as Y/BF/N continued to make lame jokes. You carefully removed the top layer of the thin paper and took the necklace out of the box. 

''It's gorgeous Y/BF/N, thank you so much.'' You said, joyful tears brimming your eye. ''Guess what though? I got you a replicate one so you two can match when Moonji wears it.'' She said boastfully, taking another box out of the bag she was holding on to and handing it carefully to you. ''You didn't have to!'' You exclaimed in disbelief. ''I didn't have to, but I did, because you don't know how much I appreciate you Y/N. In all seriousness, you were always there for me and this is just a small thing that I would like to gift you.'' She smiled shyly. You gave her a tight embrace, tears threatening to fall as you comprehend her words. When you pulled away from the hug, you spot Y/BF/N giving you a playful snicker, ''Yah! Don't suffocate my godchild!''

Jinyoung:

You stacked the dirty dishes and cups in the sink and sighed in exhaustion. You had been standing and greeting everyone attending the baby shower the whole morning and your back was threatening to kill you. You gaze at the pile of presents and cards you had received over the 3 hours on the table and chuckled to yourself. ''That's a whole lot of presents to unwrap when you are born, Jiwoo.'' You murmured to yourself, rubbing the curve of your belly slowly. 

You sat down on the chair and leaned back with your eyes closed in bliss as the weight you were carrying was lifted. Ever since you reached the end of your second trimester, you had also gained quite a bump as the baby grew over the months. Not to mention that you were heavier and you couldn't bend down to reach things on the floor. 

When the door to the house opened, your eyes flickered upwards from staring at the glossy floor to look at your husband. A smirk was plastered on his face as he watched you curiously. ''How was the baby shower?'' Jinyoung questioned, putting down his miniature backpack. 

''Everything went smoothly. But I must say, I'm not exactly sure where to store these boxes and packages.'' You gestured at the mountain of presents on the table. ''How many people attended?'' He mused. ''Close friends and relatives. My mom insisted to invite your parents as well. I think almost everyone brought a gift for Jiwoo and I.'' You laughed. ''That is a lot of presents.'' He admitted as he watched you pat the top of an elephant plush's head.
