      'Am I dead?'

I heard voices around me, so I slowly opened my eyes.

I saw King Thranduil talking to his healers. I scanned my surroundings and noticed I was in Mirkwood's healing room.

I groaned which made King Thranduil and the healers turn around.

"Brendalle, it's good to see your awake dear."

"Healers you are dismissed. Thank you." Thranduil said calmly.

"How long was I unconscious?" I asked.

"3 days. Your lucky you made it out alive. You are a brave one. I was told what you said to Thror." He replied.

I held a confused look on my face while I was trying to comprehend what he was talking about. Then I remembered.

The Battle Of Braylain.

"Where are my mother and father?" I questioned.

Thranduil sighed and sat on the edge of my bed. "Your father was slain in battle and your mother had an arrow pierced in her heart. I'm sorry Brendalle." He stated.

As much as I wanted to cry, I didn't. Instead pure anger flashed over my face. "Thror!" I growled. I attempted to sit up, but only ended up hurting my wound even more. I winced and looked down at my stomach.

"Careful Brendalle. Your wound should be healed in 2 days."

I sighed and laid back.

"Where is the Ellendalla Talc?" I asked.

Thranduil hesitated for a moment then answered. "Thror took it. Do you know what kind of power the Ellendalla Talc holds Brendalle?"

I shook my head and said, "I've only heard that it's a powerful element although I know not what that means."

"And a powerful element it is," Thranduil replied.

"The Ellendalla Talc was found by your father in the Misty Mountains. When he brought it back to Braylain he noticed it had a bluish glow to it. That bluish glow is a great power of evil that Sauron created himself. The Ellendalla Talc could end Middle-Earth forever if it is not destroyed. It is far more powerful than the One Ring or the Nazgul. It's more powerful than Sauron himself."

"That's just nonsense! Why he create something that could kill him?" I asked.

Thranduil shook his head. "No one knows."

"Well, how can the Talc be destroyed?"

"Only the Princess of Braylain can destroy the Ellendalla Talc, and you are the princess. The Talc has to be burned in the center of the Braylain Kingdom only."

My eyes widened.

"Me? You want me to destroy a element that's far more powerful than all of us in the center on my homeland? Why can't it be burned somewhere else by someone else?" I inquired.

"The Ellendalla Talc has come accustom to Braylain. Your father has kept it for years and years. And it has to be passed down your family tree. And your the last of the Severrade race. The Severrade race was wiped out during The Battle Of Braylain. Your the last of your kin Brendalle." Thranduil spoke.

I was astonished at what King Thranduil said.

'I'm the last of my kin?' I thought.

I shook my head and chuckled. "I'm just a 6 year old. You can't expect me to do such a huge quest."

Thranduil spoke, "This is why you'll be staying in Mirkwood training and learning about your powers."

"Powers? What powers?" I asked as I was extremely confused.

Thranduil smiled.

"Did your father not tell you? You can control all 4 elements. Water, Fire, Earth, & Wind. As a baby you had a spell be cast on you by your mother."

"So she was a witch?"

Thranduil chuckled. "I said a spell not a curse Brendalle. Your mother was a wizard. She was a blue wizard. Blue wizard's control all 4 elements."

I smiled, "Am I a wizard too?"

"Not yet young one. Not yet. Get some rest. Let your wounds heal. Remember Mirkwood is your home now."
