DYLAN

Dreams are finally coming true.

I stood at the bottom step trying to calm my body.  That kiss Ella gave me was more exciting than I expected.  There was no way I could climb up stage with what was going on in my pants.  I don’t think she realized the effect she had on me. I still can’t believe she’s here with me.  This is a dream come true. So many nights thinking about her and now we are together. My prayers have been answered.  So many minutes saying “Be with me. Please, be with me”.

“Is everybody having a great time tonight?”  The crowd cheers loudly. “The fun is not over yet.  We have another brilliant band to introduce. I know most of us guys have been, to put it nicely, admiring them all night."  The guys in the crowd hoot and holler when Dylan turns to wink. "These four beautiful young women came all the way from the Philadelphia area in hopes to experience some New York lovin’.  I don’t know about you, but Dyligent Dexterity would hate to turn these sexy ladies away. So let’s show these lovely beauties from the City of Brotherly Love some I Love New York hospitality.  Please welcome The Forlorn Furies!”

The stage darkens after we walked off.  Dex and I join Stan and Colton at a table they placed out for us.  Stan looks confused, because we were supposed to head to the main stage to introduce Serene, but I asked Casper and Benji to do it.  I want nothing further to do with that group.

Colton chuckles when I pull my hand off a sticky mess from spilled drinks on the table.  All he says is Ella as a way of explanation and hands me a wet towel. It is forgotten when we see a soft purple light shine towards the back where Whisper is sitting.  She starts drumming out a song I don't remember them playing when we were at Duck’s. Another light comes on and Amber starts playing…an accordion? A third light comes on shining on Brittany.  The crowd laughs when Brittany struggles carrying a giant Tuba and plays a bad note.

"Sorry."  She clears her throat.

"Let's give her a lil' encouragement!" Amber claps her hands and encourages right along.

Brittany and the girls continue to give a polka type rhythm to the song whisper had drummed out at the beginning.  Then the light goes on over Ella and half the crowd stops their clapping. If her radiant smile and guitar playing didn't render us speechless, it was that she fulfilled about every man's wet dreams.  She is sitting on a large speaker that had been placed on its side. The guitar is placed on her lap. Her long legs are crossed in front of her. I could have sworn she was wearing more a minute ago. She is now wearing the sleeveless white shirt and corset with the short skirt, but the jacket has been discarded.  What happened to her jacket? It looks like she is barely wearing anything. Shit, I need to wear looser pants during her performances. She is too damn hot. My body can’t help but react. My body also wants to kick the asses of every guy ogling her.

Ella taps her toe to the beat and strums her guitar and if she couldn’t surprise us more, she stands up and starts to yodel.  People cheer loudly for putting in an Oktoberfest feel to their music. She’s hopping across the stage getting everybody to participate with dancing and clapping along.  She grabs the microphone and lowers to the edge of the stage to have a group of guys attempt yodeling.

Finally, the stage is fully lit and I see Brittany has exchanged her Tuba with a bass guitar.  My eyes had been on Ella. I missed the exchange of instruments. Brittany plays the bass to bring the rock back into the song.  Ella switches lyrics flawlessly and starts singing about finding happiness at a bar. Every guy is drooling as Ella sings her heart out.  It’s a fun rock ballad I had never heard before. It must be an original. There are pictures on a large screen showing them being silly with their fans at Duck’s.  Some of the crowd starts to sing back. The girls picked the perfect song to start out. More people are leaving the other stages to gather around here.
