"Haunted by them?"

It's finally the day of Halloween and our, mine and Dylan's, birthdays. Dylan and Dex are sitting in the living room while Whisper and I finish getting ready in our bedrooms. She is telling me the old drama room and hallways at our high school were haunted by a real high school couple from the fifties acting out Romeo and Juliet in real life on stage during a production. It has always been an old tale shared by every high schooler that passed through the doors of the darkened room.

"I'm telling you it's true. Everyone knows it." Her eyes widen. "I once almost slipped on what I thought was ketchup and left to grab some napkins to clean it, but the stage was clean when I went back."

"It's just a story." I roll my eyes.

"Story or not, I got Dex to wear the costume." She says with a wicked smirk.

"Dylan came home ordering me to show him the costumes I picked for us after he found out Dex was wearing tights." I laugh. "I showed him Louis' old Robin Hood costume. You should have seen his face. He walked out and still thinks that's the costume he's going to wear."

Dylan and I went through a dozen costume options before I decided on one I thought would be perfect for us. I turned down costumes like Naughty Nurse, Sexy Sailor, or Hottie Heidi. Dyl turned down my suggestions of "girly" costumes like Danny Zuko, Cry Baby, and Mr. Darcy. Which, I still argue they are not girly. I thought they would have been quite sexy.

Dex and Whisper are going as the town's legendary Romeo and Juliet ghosts of MHS. Dex wanted to go as Superheroes, but he turned down Superman and Supergirl. Most of the other costume selections were sold out. Whisper refused to go as Lois Lane because the Supergirl costume is so much sexier. Dex was very disturbed because Superman and Supergirl were cousins. He argued it would be like kissing cousins and he's no damn Ashley Wilkes. We teased him after we found out he was a closet comic con 'hottie'. He settled with being a haunted legend.

I walk out of the room and straighten out the skirt of my dress before I start walking down the stairs. I'm wearing a cream and gold dress that I was able to buy from Mrs. Gertrude's dress shop. She made the adjustments for me to look like a near replica of the dress I wore when Dylan and I went trick-or-treating together for the first time. Pirates of the Caribbean was his favorite movie at the time. He went as Will Turner and I went as Elizabeth Swann. We are recreating memories from our past. The good memories and not the ones that haunt us.

The bodice is lower than than I am used to but it's very regal and sexy. I pinned my hair up so it looks like the movie and had part of it drop to the side in large curls. I then put on a pair of dangling pearl earrings I found at a costume jewelry shop a few years ago. I finished it off with a long gold chain necklace and my favorite vintage ankle boots.

"Wow, you guys are going to scare the whole town with your costumes. It's how I imagined Romeo and Juliet of MHS would look. It looks like something they would have used in the movies." Dex is standing at the end of the staircase and turns around to show off. He's wearing a brown and royal blue Romeo costume with a blood stained fifties style letterman jacket. Whisper sewed on a few different drama mask and music patches she had from her collection. His costume is a mix of a nineteen-fifties teenage ghost and a character from a Shakespearean play.

"I almost went back for the other costumes. I forgot Superman wears a diaper and tights. These make my legs look good." He shows off his legs then turns around to show his backside. "You should see how fine my ass..."

"If you keep showing my girlfriend your ass, you'll find it hitting the hard floor and you'll need more padsicles to ice it with the new black eye I'm going to give you." Dylan warns when he walks in the house. "You look amazing, Pickle. This dress is going to get me into so much trouble."
