iv. THE COLOSSEUM

✢ ✢ ✢

After a very interesting class of Econ involving a quarter, an XXL condom, and a visit from Sheriff Stilinski, Foster, Stiles, and Scott find themselves walking through the halls of Beacon Hills High, trying to process the information that Stiles had just received from his father only moments ago.

It turns out that the girl, Heather, has gone missing. No trace of her, almost as though she vanished during her party last night. The thing is though, how could she have gone missing at her own party? Somebody must have seen her.

"So, you think they kidnapped Heather to turn her?" Scott questions Stiles, Foster a bit wary of his theory. Stiles believes that the alpha pack kidnapped Heather in order to turn her into a werewolf, but Foster doesn't understand why they would want yet another beta. They already have Erica and Boyd, and are after Isaac. Why would they be interested in a forth?

"Derek says it's easier to turn teenagers," Stiles explains, Foster nodding softly as she tries to put the pieces together. It doesn't make much sense to her, but she can at least try to understand what Stiles is saying.

"But what would a pack of alphas need with a beta?" Foster questions, still not able to fathom the idea.

"Foster, I don't know and I don't care, alright?" Stiles cuts her off, Foster falling silent. "This girl, our moms were best friends, before she died, okay? We used to take freaking bubble baths together when we were three. I've got to find her."

"And we need Isaac to remember," Scott adds on, Foster still confused as to how the alphas could just take away his memories from the night he found Erica and Boyd.

"How though?" Foster questions, seeing as though Isaac told her that Peter's idea earlier didn't really help. Only stating stating that they have less time to find Erica and Boyd before they're both dead seeing as though this Deucalion character said something about them being dead by the next full moon which is tomorrow night. "Peter and Derek weren't able to do it so what do we try next?"

"Yeah," Stiles agrees, "it's not like we know any other werewolves that know a better trick."

Scott stops, both Foster and Stiles sighing as they stop in their tracks and turn around to face him.

"Maybe not a werewolf," Scott starts, "but maybe someone who knows a lot about them."

And for some reason Foster has an extremely bad feeling about this.

Soon enough, Foster finds herself pouring bags of ice into a small, metal pool along with Scott, Stiles, and Deaton, Scott's boss. It turns out that since Deaton is basically the Yoda of the supernatural world, they came to him for advice as to what do with Isaac. All Foster can say is that she does not approve of this plan at all.

It's not like she wants to watch her best friend be shoved under water in a freaking ice bath.  She had already come close to losing him the other day and she is certainly not okay with this happening yet again. In fact, Foster is very very against this.

Pouring in another bag, Foster points out, "I really really don't like this idea. Oh, wait, have I said I don't approve of this yet?"

Derek shoots her a glare, the two not being the largest fans of each other. Then again, he likes her more than Allison and Lydia because she hasn't done anything to make him want to rip her head off yet.
