Brandons POV

Eastside vs. Westside, Westside field. Tonight at 6.

That damn message keep flooding my mind. I shouldn't have answered it. I shouldn't have agreed. I just wanted to see Kaylee.

Her bouncy blonde hair, her beautiful brown eyes, and her soft voice.

"Strike one." I shake my head and look at what's happening in front of me. Jaden is now 3-1.

"Come on Jaden." Molly cheers from the stands. I look over at the Westside side only to see Kaylee laughing. My heart cracks. I'm not the one making her laugh like I did that one time. I'm not the one holding her in my arms.

The sound of the ball hitting the bat snaps me back to reality. Our side is cheering. The ball lands in the outfield as Jaden rounds first towards second. "Safe." Ump calls out. I walk up to the plate. I take a practice swing before stepping into the box.

Logan pitches the ball. "Ball." Ump calls. I take a deep breath. She's not there. She's not on my side. She doesn't want me. I'm not good enough. "Strike." It happened so fast.

I take a step out of the box and take a deep breath. "Come on Brandon, get your head in the game." Dad calls out. I tense up before looking up at Kaylee. She was frozen with her mouth open a bit. I shake my head before looking towards coach on the third base line.

"You got it kid, just hit it. It's your game." Coach calls out. He knows why I agreed to this game. I took another breath. Come on Brandon, this is your game. Forget her, she doesn't want you. I step back into the box. Your game.

Logan took a breath before nodding. He throws the pitch. I swing hearing the very familiar sound. It felt like it was in slow motion. Over the fence. I start to slow my run to a jog as I round second. My team gathers around home ready to congratulate me. I round third towards home. Stomping on home plate. I smile as my teammates hit my helmet.

"Way to go Wilson." Coach Mark says. My eyes drift off slowly to the Westside bleachers. Her beautiful brown eyes. Ugh.

Give me a sign please, just let me know that this isn't over. Not yet. She blinked with emotion. She gave me a small sad smile before giving me a slight nod. A full blown smile placed itself upon my lips before I gave her a nod back. This wasn't over, whatever this is. I'm going to fight for her until my heart gives out.

"Lets go man. Jordan needs to hit." Jaden says standing by my side. I wink over at Kaylee before turning and walking towards my dugout.

"Aye, lets go Jordan. J-dawg." Luke yells out. I chuckle and push him into the fence. I sit down on the bench and put on my legs for the catchers gear.

"Lets go J. You got this." I hollar out as Logan pitches the ball.

"Strike two." Jordan steps out of the box as I look over at Kaylee. She was looking at me with her head tilted a bit. Her blonde hair favored her left side more than the right.

I give her a quick smile before turning towards Logan who was look towards his first baseman. The first baseman nods causing Logan to nod. No way, their first baseman is calling the shots.

Logan pitches the ball. "Strike three." Jordan turns and grips his bat hard while walking to the dugout.

"Sorry man. Bryson was getting in my head." Jordan explains after setting his bat down.

"Its cool man. I'll just get into his head. He wants to play dirty, well we'll play dirty" I say putting on my chest plate and grabbing my helmet.

I smirk at Jaden who started to chuckle. "Dont make any slide moves Brandon. You can't get kicked out of another game, dad will literally kill you." He shakes his head before heading to the pitchers mound.

I roll my eyes before walking to home plate with my glove and my helmet in hand. I run my fingers through my hair before putting on my helmet. I glance over at Kaylee. She was slowly and secretly fanning herself causing me to slightly grin beneath my helmet.

I look at Jaden and get into catchers position. Jaden throws the ball hitting my glove. "That was good Jaden but give it more heat." Coach calls out. Jaden nods as I throw the ball back to him.

"Ready to lost Wilson." I turn my head slightly to see Logan Ace standing there practicing his swings while smirking. I smirk.

"You're dreaming again Ace. Thought you would of finally got out of your head." I retort causing his smirk to drop.

He stops his swings for a second to look at me. "What? Not over your best friends sister yet? Didnt think I knew did you?" I branch out.

"You better watch what you say Wilson. I'll kill you right here right now." He spits out as I look at Jaden.

"Whatever Ace. You wouldn't do it." I say as Jaden pitchs a heater. It slams into my glove causing my hand to burn a bit.

"You think you know everything, Mr. Big Shot. Thats why she's wearing my jersey. Shes in my side. My team Wilson. Face it, you're the bad guy who always loses." Logan said stepping up to the plate.

I look at Jaden. Im really the bad guy? I shake my head before nodding to Jaden. He throws his heater ball giving a strike against Logan.

"No Logan. Im the bad guy whos gonna get the girl." I say after the umpire yells.

Logan's hands tighten on his bat as he grits his teeth. Too easy. "Before you know it, shes gonna be on my side wearing my jersey, rooting for my teams. Lets face it you're just her brothers best friend." I say throwing the ball back to Jaden.

Way too easy. 1 down, 8 to go.
