I seriously dont know whats wrong with hanan she's been down lately and I've done all I can to make her tell me what's wrong but she dosent bulge.
Now I met her crying in the living room and I hid behind the door to let her poor out her feelings cos when we are around she keeps holding it and I know when somethings wrong with her. When she finished I made my presence known but she decided to hide it by giving me a fake smile but nahh I know my best friend much to know when she's lying.

"Hey what's wrong"? I asked

"Oh nothing" she took a deep breath " just missing abbiey".

"Ohh con Hanan missing Abbiey will not make u pale and down lately". "and just so you you've been like that since when we came back to London".

"how did you know". By now I was fully on the living room sitting beside her.

"oh cmon your my best friend If I don't know who sill know. Now what happened".

And the next thing that happened shocked me she broke into another set of tears and I did the only thing I thought will comfort her by hugging her. We stayed in that embrace for about 15minutes before her sobs reduced. I got her a glass of water and she gulped it down in one go.

"So now what happened". I asked eager to hear what happened.

"Do you remember my boyfriend ohh my ex-boyfriend Ahmad" she asked.

I nodded

"Well do you remember the day we went for ya haidar's birthday, he called me and told me that his parents want to meet me that I should get ready he will come to pick me tomorrow. If you noticed all day I was nervous cos I don't know what they will think of me because I was told that their mom is a very strict woman.

I nodded for her to continue

"The next day I got ready and he came to pick me up, we went there and i was still feeling nervous but he assured me that nothing will happen. We arrived there and I must say that they are very rich considering the house and the surrounding. We entered the house and we were welcomed by a feast of mouth watering dishes all for me. Their mother and siblings were all nice and welcoming and all or so I thought".

"What do you mean" I asked dreading what I mean it is.

"They all treated me nicely, we ate gisted and I learned so many things about them.When it was time to pray Zuhr, Ahmad and his brothers went to pray while his younger sister, aamirah took me to her room to pray. While we were passing through their moms room I heard her and ibtihal saying that I was bad luck for him considering that am not a Kanuri and that how will I have manners when I grew up mannerless".. I knew that was soft spot touched for hanan cos her cries intensified at that cos she can bear any insult but won't allow you to say anything about mama.

"I felt a pang in my chest and ignored that, we went to aamirah's room I prayed and we gisted about a lot of things waiting for Ahmad to come but then i received a message from him telling me that he won't be coming back now till after Isha salah that something came up in their office. I replied back with ohk and told him not to worry at all.

"Me and aamirah were in the room chatting when Hajiya Nafisatuu barged into the room with bloodshot eyes and an angry expression. We were all scared knowing we al left her to go and pray peacefully and now we saw this. The first word that came to her mouth was 'keh munafika tashi ki bar min gida saboda kin ga Dana za ki kwashe mishi kudi kin kwanta kamar gidan ubanki, ko da yake ban ga laifin ki ba laifin ubanki ne da ya barki ba uwa har kika lalace haka'.She dissmissed all her house maids and made me clean the whole house and did the dishes saying that she will teach me manners before I marry her son since I didn't have a mother to teach me.She took a breath then continued.
