Aria's POV
"I've been grounded for three weeks with with no phone or TV." I heard Alex whine as I walked in the Alvarez apartment, dressed to go to the bocce ball thing.
"And no girlfriend." I added, making myself known
"Hey. You look pretty." Alex smiled, picking me up and spinning me around.
"Wow I didn't know you missed me that much." I laughed
"This is the first time I've seen anyone but these crazy people for three weeks." He explained
"Makes sense." I nodded
"Last week, I read a Jane Austen book... for fun." Alex told Penelope
"Okay. Remember you're still grounded and the only reason I'm letting you go is because this seems worse." She said
Alex rolled his eyes as Elena and Syd walked in wearing these ridiculous track suits and hats.
"I love your dress." Syd complimented me
"Thanks. I love... whatever that is." I said, trying to fake a smile smile
"What do you think?" Elena asked everyone
"I think I'm glad you two found each other." Penelope said
"We are celebrating. This is our first Valentine's together, and my first time acknowledging Valentine's since all the other years I was at home making fun of it cause, really, I was sad." Elena said
"Me too, girl." I said as Alex fixed my dress strap that had slipped off my shoulder, then rested his chin on my shoulder
"Why does your head look like a butt?" Lydia asked, making me smile
"They're hearts. We are not doing the typical corporate Valentine's Day. I have planned an amazing day of service. Syd and I are doing the Heart Healthy fun run. Did you know that heart disease is the number one killer of women?" Elena asked
"Second only to the dimples." Alex said, pointing to himself and wrapping his arm around my waist.
"He's so modest." I joked
"Papito, you are the number one lady killer. You are the lady serial killer." Lydia said, creepily
I took a step back from Alex for a second, but he pulled me back with a laugh.
"Okay, Mami, getting weird." Penelope warned
"Anyway, what we're doing is perfect." Elena said
"Yeah. What else are we gonna do? Have an amazing time at Benihana marveling at a volcano onion?" Syd asked, laughing forcefully
