My Immortal by Evanescence
Tai Xiao Long:You'd think he'd have a great theme song describing how social he is and how he's always there for other people. Well, this part isn't the place for you if you feel like this doesn't represent Tai Xiao Long. He is truly haunted by those he's lost. His memories with them, their faces, the pain of their abandonment of him. It all haunts him. He wishes he could move on and tries to put on a happy face to the best of his abilities but a man can do that for so long.
Pieces by Sum 41
Raven Branwen:Raven was always trying to be strong. After all, it was part of her tribe's motto. The strong survive and the weak die, simple as that. However, after losing so much and seeing so much, the Branwen woman decided to escape her old life and replace it with a life that had been stolen from her. A life she was forced to distance from her mind. The Demlock tribe, now renamed the NightStalk tribe, was her home. It was her home again as she remodeled it into a tribe more cunning and stronger then its predecessor ever was. It wasn't worth trying to be sensitive during her old life with those she once loved. It wasn't worth trading her pride away for peace, love, and happiness. It was never worth it.
Somewhere I Belong by Linkin Park
Qrow Branwen:What do you do with a man who has nothing to lose? Nothing really. Qrow Branwen is that man, someone who pulls reckless stunts and throws himself, at times others, in harms way on a regular basis. He does this mainly for shits and giggles while also fighting the monstrous Grimm and other bad people in the world of Remnant. But, Qrow isn't a bad person at his core as he does have much care and love in his heart. It's that, and his fear of losing other people that really break him down to his vulnerable level that he shares with no one but himself. "I wanna heal, I wanna feel, what I thought was never real. I wanna let go of the pain I've held so long;(Erase all the pain till it's gone). I wanna heal. I wanna feel, like I'm close to something real. I wanna find something I've wanted all along. Somewhere I belong." These words alone describe how Qrow had been alone his entire life. First, he was an orphan. Then, he was a troublemaker at Beacon. And, now he's a reckless, irresponsible, rude, snarky, and fearless man whom uses this behavior along with his destructive lifestyle in order to shield his mind from his traumatic past. "Nothing to gain, hollow and alone. And the fault is my own. And the fault is my own.", that is what Qrow knows deep down in his heart. He knows all too well that his life had gone the way it did due to his selfishness and inability to trust people. This also applies to how he feels with the loved ones he's lost. First, there was his family abandoning him, his adopted family dying in a car crash, his sister Raven leaving him, and Summer dying. He puts all of this on himself due to his "curse", something he believes is making him susceptible to losing people he cares about. Qrow views his new life as the life that will keep him from feeling the pain of loss as well as saving the ones he has left from himself. The more time he's away from people, the more time they'll have left in the world to live in.
