Hello my fellow readers! I made Estelle be born slightly earlier than in the books. Here's another chapter hope you enjoy! :)

Perse

One of the siblings looked very familiar. The long brown hair. Brown doe like eyes.

Where- oh!

Suicide bird girl, or more like her friend. Well she didn't look too happy with her and neither did her brother. Who's name she could have sworn was blurted out during their squabble.

Jerry? Jared? Padalecki? No. I wish. Perse squinted her eyes at him. Jeremy. Ya, that sounds right.

"Excuse me."

Perse looked up. Both of them were staring at her expectantly.

"Sorry!" she quickly spewed out. " I didn't realize this was the men's bathroom till . . . well . . . you know, I actually peed. And then you guys walked in and I didn't have a way out." Perse was ranting and without realizing she had started to fiddle with her prayer beads that were wrapped around her wrist. Annabeth had gotten them for her before she had moved. It was her subtle way of saying ' Stay focused.'

Thankfully Suicide Bird Girl's friend stopped her but her choice of words made Perse's palms sweat.
"So you just decided to eavesdrop on us." She snapped. Perse lowered her hands trying to seem more relaxed than she actually was.
"In my defense, I wasn't really paying attention. I was more focused on leaving this bathroom without anyone ever knowing I was here."

There was a beat of silence before Jeremy clicked his tongue, glared at her then at his sister. "I don't need this." He spat, storming out. After a few seconds of awkward tension Suicide Bird Girl's friend sighed. "Siblings am I right?" Perse nodded along but couldn't fully relate. Sure she had Tyson but he never really gave her any problems. And Estelle was still too young to drive Perse insane with anything but her late night crying.

Finally Suicide Bird Girls friend pointed out that Perse was from earlier this morning.
"Persephone Jackson." She stuck out her hand. "But I think we can both agree that's a mouthful. Call me Perse."
"Elena Gilbert."
"Pretty name." Perse grinned. "So Miss. Gilbert I'm going to take a guess and assume you know your way around this school?" Elena visibly relaxed and nodded. "Being a junior I would hope so."
Perse clapped her hands together. "Sweet. Think you can lend me your expertise? I have no idea where the principals office is."
Elena laughed. "Sure. No problem."

Before even moving one foot in the bathroom Perse's stomach dropped. Her hand reached for riptide in her pocket. Her gut warning her something was off. Ever since she had trained with Lupa her instincts have been sharper.

With Elena in the front Perse kept herself coiled and at the ready. Which was almost a mistake. Elena had collided with someone and on reflex she had almost uncapped riptide.

That  someone was fairly tall. Almost towering over Elena. The knot in her stomach tightened and in that split second Perse remembered Chiron's warning.

' They are not like any creature you have faced before. You will need to trust yourself and your instincts more than ever.'

Elena apologized to the student.

She seems to be doing that a lot today.

But they brushed it off. A soft smile playing on their lips. They weren't bad looking. Definitely not Perse's type though. Especially considering they might be a monster.
