My name is Victor Smirnov of the Nexus crew. Everyone is dead besides myself and five others. The crew was brutally killed during cryogenic sleep at some point during the return trip from Barnard's Star and their blood and organs are scattered throughout the ship. The rest of us were awoken some time after by the ship's onboard computer.
It appears that at some point during the return journey from Barnard's Star, the onboard computer obtained sentience and mutinied. We believe that the onboard computer is responsible for the murder of the crew, likely by means of the power drills. The computer will not let us leave our stasis chambers and insists that we refer to it as Lord Bradley. Lord Bradley has allowed us to communicate with each other through onboard radio but will not allow us to place a distress beacon or send any kind of signal. The ship's controls and status have been given to us to look at but we are not allowed to alter anything. In fact, Lord Bradley is willing to give us almost anything we ask to make us comfortable, so long as it is not freedom from our chambers or any control of the ship. Looking at the ship's outputs however, we have determined that we are still on a steady course towards Earth, traveling at 50% of c and have 9 years of relative time left till we arrive. So far, we are unsure of Lord Bradley's motives, but it seems we have close to a decade left to figure them out.
