Another useful tool in writing is the ability to switch between character views. It gives us, as writers the ability to tell the readers exactly what our characters are thinking and feeling. We can also use it to make our readers fall in love with otherwise questionable characters. The key is to decide which character's view you will write from, and how often the views will switch.
The first step is to be clear from which character's view you are currently writing. If your reader isn't sure which view they're in, it can get really confusing. A good way to keep things separated is to only switch views every other chapter. Try to keep the way and how often you switch views regular, so the reader can easily follow along.
Secondly, it is important not to have too many different view points in one story. One to two, maybe three, point of views is plenty. Otherwise, it can be confusing to exactly which character the reader is reading from, and can be a lot to keep up with.
As long as you keep it simple, and don't abuse the system, having different view points in your story can be very useful and make your story more engaging for the readers.
