•Author's Inspiration for Writing:

Well, I actually got my inspiration for this from an event that happened at school a few weeks back, so I decided to take it and make it completely my own and try and make it seem original in the world of writing.

This is a story about a girl called Astrid, and her constant need for attention that drives her over the limit.

Hope you enjoy xD

•Description:

Attention. That's all Astrid Reilly cares about.Attention.She loves it; she craves it; it's her very own drug. And it's not hard to see that Astrid is addicted.

She has the prefect boyfriend, the most loyal of friends and the popularity that most kids only dream of, all thanks to sweet, sweet, attention. For Astrid though, it's still not enough. She needs more.

After moving in with her oddly cheery cousin, Elsbeth, and her entourage, Astrid has the idea that will change the way people look at her forever. It would leave a lasting legacy and give her more attention than she could ever dream of.

She was going to pretend she had cancer: and then she'd get all the attention she'd need.

•Review:

The description tells the entire tale, yet somehow makes us want to read more.

The author writes very well, and there are very few mistakes.

Personally, we sort of expected the main character to be a little more mature. After all, she did come up with a brilliant plan, even if it was morally wrong. But hopefully the author has plans to use her hasty decision to lead to her down fall in the later chapters. There are definitely loose ends to be tied up with legitimacy issues in this story.

That being said, it is also some what unrealistic the way certain characters behave, but that can be dismissed if you look at it as being in the humor genre.

Overall, a very interesting tale.
