Protection

minhyung looked up at the adult in front of him and just stared at the eyes he despised so much, the grip on donghyuck's hand unconciously tightening. 

"are you not even going to say or acknowledge your dad who spent the last five years to find you and Taeyong?" his das growled, clenching his fists.

minhyung didnt do anything again, which infurated his dad even more and caused him to look up at the sky, then look back at the both of them with a sickeningly sweet smile.

"do you know how worried your mom is back in canada? she is trying to find you everyday you know? she wants her company back too." minhyung's dad lifted his hand and punched minhyung straight in the face, causing the latter to stagger back a bit but not fall.

after 5 years of glowing up, minhyung was taller and stronger than his dad but that didnt mean he would fight back. he didnt like violence and didnt want to hurt anyone physically.

unless that person hurt donghyuck then he'd have no problems punching that person to mars.

"say something!" his dad roared, lifting his hand to slap his son but minhyung grabbed his wrist so the slap didnt come.

minhyung flung the hand back down and just continued his staring contest with his dad.

suddenly his dad looked over his shoulder and at donghyuck.

"hello there, what are you doing with my son?" his dad asked, slapping a phsycotic grin onto his face. donghyuck just hid behind minhyung who protectively stood in front of his dad where he couldnt see donghyuck.

the phsycotic grin grew even wider as he realised how much donghyuck ment to his son.

"maybe if i kill donghyuck you would come back with me?" minhyung's dad pulled out a gun and aimed it at the gap between donghyuck and minhyung.

he cocked the gun and grinned at minhyung, especially when he saw his son's eyes fill with terror and fear.

everything passed in slow motion.

minhyung turned around and hugged donghyuck tightly, one arm protectively encircling his head, the other snaking its way around donghyuck's torso as the gun let out an inhumanely loud sound.

minhyung didnt let go even when he felt the searing pain of the bullet pierce through his back

minhyung didnt let go even though he heard another round of the gun, instead tightening his grip on donghyuck as blood started gushing out of his arms.

he didnt let go evem though he heard the sound of the abulance coming closer and closer

he only let go when his body couldnt take it anymore and he dropped to the ground, accidentally dragging donghyuck down with him.

"lee minhyung!" donghyuck screamed his name in agony as he saw minhyung's eyes flutter, the older struggling  to stay awake.

"open your eyes for me baby." donghyuck cupped his lover's face, trying desprately to get him to open his eyes.

"i love you." donghyuck softly whispered and minhyung smiled, weakly lifting up his other hand to cup donghyuck's face.

"i love you too." he smiled then let darkness engulf him as his hand fell from donghyuck's face.

he heard donghyuck scream and he felt his tears but they all felt unreal, as if he was underwater, going to sleep for the rest of eternity.
