A week. That's how long it's been. A week since you had that encounter with him. You thought about it everyday, and it was slowly driving you insane. More and more questions continued to pile up, which didn't reflect your mental state positively.

Any how, you were currently finishing up the redstone for the phone you were building when you heard someone- you believed it was Steve- enter the house. You quickly went upstairs, not wanting him to find the device that was underneath the ground. Why? Because he didn't tell you about phones, so how would you know they existed? You weren't ready to tell the truth. You were aware that Steve knew Notch, so you didn't want to let him know.

Halfway up the ladder, you could hear talking, and two pairs of footsteps. The only things you could make out were a few mumbled "no"s and an "I'll see". After that, you peaked out of the trapdoor and saw Steve... with Notch.

Needless to say, you were petrified. Without a doubt, Steve said something about you and now knew the truth. You tried to sneak out of the house undetected, but a grab to the rist (and a twirl around) stopped you. You were face to face with Steve.

"You lied to me?" Was all he said, which broke your heart. He sounded so... sad. Disappointed. In you, in him, or in both of you, you weren't sure, but he definitely wasn't happy right now.

"St-Steve, I-" "You have to go back."

Your face went from nervous to petrified. You couldn't go back. Not now. Not ever. You were better here. You loved it here. You had to stay.

"I... I can't..." You managed to mumble out, voice cracking as you did. "Steve is right, you have to go back." Notch spoke, slowly walking over to you and Steve, probably not wanting to scare you.

"I CAN'T!" You full on shouted, tears streaming down your face. Realizing that was probably not the best way to go, and that it'd be too late to convince them to let you stay, you ran. Where did you plan on going, let alone staying? Anywhere. Anywhere that was decent. There was a nearby village, you could trade a bit. You luckily had emeralds and a few other items on you... you weren't the best at keeping your inventory empty.

After getting a bed, materials and food, you set off to find a place to build. No doubt that there would be players abound, so you'd have to be careful- as always.

It wasn't long before you found a rather large forest. You could hide here for the night. A quick little dirt hut would do, it was only temporary anyway. The sun was setting, and dirt could still protect you from mobs. You began building quite quickly, adding a torch or two as a light source. You then placed down your bed and laid down.

Thoughts continued to race through your head as you tried to sleep. What would you do? Where were you going to stay? What would you build? What if you had to run forever?

You stopped thinking about it. You had to if you wanted sleep- which you did. Slowly but surely, your eyes got heavier, and your low stamina made you fall asleep faster. The thoughts dissipated. Before you fell into the complete darkness of sleep, you could see two white dots staring at you.
