She spent the next several nights just locking herself up inside her room.
She's been crying herself to sleep and when she wakes up, she'd cry more...and more until she gets drained and exhausted to the point that she couldn't even blink anymore...Her mom has been worried sick and that makes it even more painful because she shouldn't be worrying her mother like this given that she's only just recovered from the major operation she had with her lungs.
Nobody else could be there for her mom and for her but herself. She couldn't afford to continue dying like this because of that deceiving moron who broke her heart into a million pieces that she feels as if it's not even there anymore.
She's so hurt and mad...
But the worst part is, she's still very much in love.
Rachel looked tiredly at her bed where she was seated...covering it is the bedsheet where her blood spilled after he took her innocence.
Above her headboard is a dreamcatcher Vaughn has placed as a small present to her when she mentioned having a lot of bad dreams since she was young. He even put a heart pendant with a little diamong in the middle of the dreamcatcher.
On the table is a glass of preserved blue rose he gifted her during their first dinner date as boyfriend-girlfriend. He said he wanted to give her a flower that will never wilt, like his love for her.
Again, her tears fall looking at the flower inside that glass...its shade is as blue as his eyes...and as blue as her soul right now.
How could he lie to her...? how could he make her feel so much love only to shatter her like this?
Was all that fake? She felt it...she saw it in his eyes whenever they made love...whenever he held her hands.
He loves her...
But why!
How could he show her so much love and affection only to hurt her this much?! She sobbed asking her the same questions over and over again.
Three loud knocks cut her thoughts and she immediately wiped her tears with the back of her palms.
"Hija..." it was her mom's worried voice calling her from behind the closed door.
"Rach, I need you here. Can you come out for a second please..." she spoke in Spanish.
She closed her eyes tightly hearing her mom pleading her to come out...
Sighing in defeat, she slowly stood up and walked towards the door. She has to stop depressing over that deceiving moron...
She has to go back to her feet.
She twisted the doorknob to come out and attend to her mom only to freeze when she was greeted by the last person she wants to see right now.
His dark blue eyes were looking intently at her like he was seeing her for the first time.
She felt her jaws clenching as he stood up there watching her with pity in his eyes that agitated her even more.
"I'm sorry to come here without prior notice." He spoke so formally which made her frown at him.
"I don't know what else you want. Leave me alone and go to hell..." she said through gritted teeth which made him sigh as he looked at her like she's the most pathetic person in the world. There's something different from the way he looked at her.
There is compassion yes, but something is off...or is she just expecting him to be sorry at least which she cannot be sure if he is at all.
"You have to come with me, Rach... can I call you that?" He asked making her more angry If not confused now. What is he trying to pull off here?! He is looking at and talking to her as if he's meeting her for the first time!
