Chapter 5

LUCY'S POV

The three agents and I were on the west side of the helicarrier , waiting for any thing.

We knew something was coming.

We could sense it.

Suddenly a red light flashed throughout the room.

" let's go." Agent west said, grabbing his gun and tossing three more to us.

They moved behind me so that I was in front, leading the way.

We moved swiftly around the corner and into the next hall.

There stood director fury, a look of fear and shock in his eyes as he stared at a blood stain on the ground.

" director."

Agent south greeted, moving to the front and crossing her arms in front of her chest.

He looked up and immediately the fear was wiped from his look.

" agents. Glad you could make it. East. Go get Rogers. West. Go plan a rescue mission for agent Flynn. South. Get the rest of the team together. North. Get the construction crew up here. And east."

I stopped and looked at him." After you get Rogers. Get stark. You two are familiar with each other."

I mentally sighed but nodded and hurried off to the jets.

" captain Rogers." I greeted sternly, as I watched him from the door way.

He stopped hitting the bag.

" fury send you?"

He asked looking to me slowly.

I nodded." He did. And he needs you to come in. We're facing another global threat."

He walked over closer and I held out a file." I'll get back to you on this."

He said trying to get past me.

" he needs you now." I growled and grabbed his arm, a little harder then I should've.

I let go suddenly when the cold rushed to my hand and stuck it in my pocket.

He held up his arm and examined it carefully.

There was now a blue, smoking hand print.

" what are you?" He asked.

And before I knew it I was pressed up against the wall, his hand by my head and his face, too close for comfort.

" I don't know what your talking about." I spat.

" what was that?" He asked, leaning in closer.

" none of your business Rogers, get in the car." I growled and pushed him off me, walking quickly to the car.

Seconds later he slid in , but kept his distance.

" am I that terrifying Rogers, that you have to keep your distance that much?" I asked, my eyes glued to the road.

He looked at me cautiously." How can fury trust you?" He asked with curiosity.

I smirked." He doesn't."

That was all that was said for the rest of the ride.

At least until I drove up in front of stark towers.

" you getting stark too?" He said quietly.

I ignored the question and walked out, slamming the door harshly.

I tapped into the security and I was brought up to his floor.

Once it dinged I was on the living rooms floor an staring at tony with an unfamiliar girl.

" this another one of your one night stands stark?" I asked.

They both whipped around .

They seemed to be deep in conversation.

" Lucy?" Tony asked.

He stood and walked over to me, looking me up and down.

" no ones called me that in three years stark. Good to see you again."

He nodded and shook my hand." The same to you."

The woman walked up behind him and peeked around shyly.

" this is Miss Potts." He said quietly.

He took her hand and led her to his side.

I stuck out my hand.

" pepper."

She froze." How'd you know my name?"

I smirked." Some secrets are best kept ......well... Secret."

She shook my hand hesitantly.

" so is this just a drop in or is there some global catastrophe?" He interjected, looking sort of impatient.

I shifted uncomfortably." One of our agents were kidnapped and your one of the only people who can track her."

I handed him a file and he shook his head.

" I still don't like being handed things."

I groaned loudly and passed it to Pepper, who gently passed It to tony, who took it with a smile.

" I'm in." He said after looking it over and grabbed his jacket quickly.

He patted her on the shoulder quickly and she smiled softly, turning away.

" I'll talk to you tomorrow." He said and waved before both of us disappeared into the elevator.
